Objective: Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is the crystallization of the wisdom and experience of ancient people in practicing medicine and treating diseases.It is a precious wealth that money can’t measure,and it is very important to maintain the life and health of the people.Nowadays,the scientific nature of TCM is not only questioned by western countries,but also constantly impacted by western medicine.In order to make TCM inherit and develop better,this study taked residents in Liaoning Province as the research object,evaluated the level of TCM health care literacy of residents in Liaoning Province,and comprehensively clarified the influencing factors of TCM health care literacy level of residents in Liaoning Province through single-factor and multi-factor analysis,so as to make the characteristic advantages of TCM health care better benefit Chinese residents,serve the health of the masses,fundamentally change the low level of TCM health care literacy,and provide a certain theoretical basis for the relevant Chinese medicine institutions to formulate relevant Chinese medicine policies.Methods: In this study,it was planned to adopt multi-stage stratified random sampling method,and in 2013,the survey objects would be selected in Heping District of Shenyang,Ganjingzi District of Dalian,Lianshan District of Huludao City and Liaoyang County of Liaoyang City.The effective response rate of 80% was calculated by the formula,and 1680 people were actually investigated.Epidata3.1 was used to establish the database,and SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the data.Univariate analysis used chi-square test,multivariate analysis used Logistic regression analysis,with P<0.05 as the difference.Results: In this study,1680 questionnaires were distributed and recovered,and 244 invalid questionnaires were excluded,and 1436 valid questionnaires were obtained,with an effective rate of 85.48%.In the total sample,135 people scored ≥20 points in theoretical knowledge of TCM,that is,the level of TCM health care literacy of residents in Liaoning Province was 9.4%.Univariate analysis showed that there were differences in urban and rural distribution,education level,marital status,medical insurance,whether Chinese medicine was scientific,interested in Chinese medicine,believed in Chinese medicine,attitude towards canceling Chinese medicine,and taking Chinese medicine preparations in the past year(P<0.05).The level of TCM health care literacy,the level of urban residents is higher than that of rural residents;The education level of residents with high school or below is higher than that of residents with junior college,undergraduate or above;The level of married residents is higher than that of unmarried,divorced or widowed residents;The level of insured residents is higher than that of uninsured residents;It is considered that the level of Chinese medicine science residents is higher than that of ordinary and unscientific residents;The level of residents who are interested in Chinese medicine is higher than that of ordinary residents who are not interested;Believe that the level of Chinese medicine residents is higher than that of ordinary residents who don’t believe it;The level of opposing the abolition of Chinese medicine residents is higher than that of those who agree with the abolition of Chinese medicine and do not care;The level of residents who have taken traditional Chinese medicine preparations in the past year is higher than that of residents who have not taken traditional Chinese medicine preparations in the past year(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that urban and rural distribution,interest in Chinese medicine,attitude towards canceling Chinese medicine and taking Chinese medicine preparations in the past year were the main influencing factors of Liaoning residents’ Chinese medicine health care literacy level(P<0.05).The level of TCM health care literacy,the level of urban residents is higher than that of rural residents;The level of residents who are interested in Chinese medicine is higher than that of residents who are not interested in Chinese medicine;The level of residents who oppose the abolition of Chinese medicine is higher than that of residents who are indifferent to the abolition of Chinese medicine;The level of residents who have taken traditional Chinese medicine preparations in the past year is higher than that of residents who have not taken traditional Chinese medicine preparations in the past year(P<0.05).Conclusion: The level of Chinese medicine health care literacy of residents in Liaoning Province is 9.4%,and the main influencing factors are urban and rural distribution,whether they believe in Chinese medicine,their attitude towards canceling Chinese medicine and whether they have taken Chinese medicine preparations in the past year.Residents have a positive attitude towards TCM health care,and are more willing to understand and apply TCM.Residents who take TCM preparations are more willing to learn and apply TCM. |
