Objective: To study the effect of balance manipulation of tonifying and purging on the ability and stability of muscle group around knee joint in patients with early-middle stage knee osteoarthritis. The correlation between the isokinetic muscle strength(peak moment weight ratio)and the clinical WOMAC score(knee symptom and function score)was further analyzed. Methods: From April 2017 to October 2018,30 patients with unilateral knee osteoarthritis admitted to the five departments of bone injury, affiliated hospital of jiangxi university of traditional Chinese medicine who met the research criteria were selected, and 30 subjects were divided into 2 groups by using kellgren-lawrence imaging diagnostic grading criteria: test group I(a total of 15 patients with K/L imaging grade-i);Experimental group II(K/L imaging grade--grade II,a total of 15 patients).Use our isokinetic muscle strength tester(Isomed2000 Germany)for selected patients with diarrhea compensating balance technique treatment knee before the group of uniform flexor muscle testing,to determine the contralateral first to one side after the determination of test selection of angular velocity is 60 ° / s,knee joint ROM is 75 °,selection of observation indexes: the peak torque weight ratio, ratio of knee flexion and extension, the healthy side muscle than with the same;WOMAC knee symptom and function scale was used to score the patients before balance manipulation. Then the selected patients were treated with balance manipulation of tonification and diarrhea, twice a day for about 25 minutes each time, with a course of 2 weeks. After the course of treatment, the isokinetic muscle strength test instrument(Isomed2000,Germany)of our hospital was used again to measure the isokinetic muscle strength of the patients and score the symptoms and functions of WOMAC knee joint.Finally,SPSS19.0 statistical software was used to manage and analyze the collected data.Results:1.After one course of supplementation and elimination balance treatment,WOMAC score of the two groups was improved compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05),while there was no significant difference between the two groups in WOMAC score before treatment and WOMAC score after treatment(P > 0.05).2.After purging balance technique treatment in both groups after 1 course of comparison, the peak torque weight ratio(flexor and extensor),ratio of knee flexion and extension, the healthy side muscle than with the same(flexor and extensor)were improved than before treatment(P < 0.05),and between the two groups before and after the treatment(weight ratio and peak torque ratio of knee flexion and extension, the healthy side muscle ratio)with the same between groups was no significant difference(P > 0.05).3.In this study, the sum of the peak torque and weight ratio of the flexor extensor muscle on the affected side before treatment was significantly correlated with the corresponding WOMAC score(r=0.894)at the level of 0.01.4.In this study, the sum of the peak torque and weight ratio of the flexor extensor muscle on the affected side before treatment was significantly correlated with the corresponding WOMAC score(r=0.894)at the level of 0.01.Conclusion:1.Balance manipulation can improve the muscle strength of the muscle group around the knee joint in patients with early-middle stage knee osteoarthritis, improve the dynamic and stable structure around the knee joint, and improve the symptoms and function of the knee joint.2.There was a significant correlation between the isokinetic muscle strength(peak moment weight ratio)and the clinical WOMAC score(knee symptom and function score)in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
