Objective: Based on the classical literature's understanding of gastric cancer(called gastric cancer by traditional Chinese medicine),this research summarized the clinical experience of tutors in treating gastric cancer, clarified the clinical efficacy of Qige Xiaoji Prescription on patients with phlegm-qi obstruction syndrome gastric cancer, and provided new ideas for the treatment of advanced gastric cancer with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:1.Study the classics: By reading the classical literature Huangdi Neijing and Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer in classical medical books were clarified2.Experience summary: Through the clinical follow-up study, summarized the tutor and professor Fan Huan-fang's experience in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer, syndrome differentiation and treatment of cancer pain and cancer ascites.3.Clinical observation: 30 patients with advanced gastric cancer who met the inclusion criteria from July 2017 to February 2019 in the Second Department of Oncology of Hebei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as subjects. After two cycles of oral Qige Xiaoji Prescription and intravenous therapy with Chinese herbal extract, the patients safety, clinical symptoms, quality of life and changes of tumor markers were evaluated.Results:1.Professor Fan Huanfang thinks that the disorder of qi,phlegm,Qi and blood stasis are the important pathogenesis of gastric cancer, and phlegm-qi stagnation syndrome should be one of the syndromes of gastric cancer.2.Clinical symptom evaluation: after treatment,7 cases were markedly effective,20 cases were effective,3 cases were ineffective, and the effective rate was 90%.Taking the dates of post-treatment to compare with pre-treatment,the symptoms of dysphagia, epigastric fullness, hiccup, nausea, acid reflux, epigastric pain, lack of appetite and fatigue are improved,it has significant differences in it(P<0.05).The clinical symptoms of vomiting and constipation of post-treatment were alleviated, but there was no significant difference(P>0.05).3.KPS indexes showed that 25 cases were effective,4 cases stable,1 case ineffective, the effective rate was 83.3%.Statistical analysis showed that the scores of per and post treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The tumor markers stabilized compared with those pre-treatment.Statistical analysis showed that P>0.05,there was no significant difference.5.ECG and safety indexes of post-treatment were not significantly changed compared with those pre-treatment,suggesting that Qige Xiaoji Prescription had no obvious blood, liver and kidney toxicity. This prescription is safe.Conclusions:1.Although the ancient classical literature does not mention "gastric cancer",there are many related discussions, among which the legislative prescription has important guiding significance for modern clinical practice.2.The clinical symptoms and quality of life of the patients can be improved by Qige Xiaoji Prescription combined with the intravenous therapy with Chinese herbal extract.3.Professor Fan Huanfang, tutor of the writer, attaches great importance to differentiation of gastric cancer. Some gastric cancer patients characterized by swallowing obstruction, epigastric fullness and classified as obstruction of phlegm and qi,are treated with the remedy of moistening dryness, reducing qi,removing phlegm and eliminating accumulation. The selected prescription,Qige Xiaoji, which is safe and effective, suggesting that phlegm-qi obstruction syndrome is one of the syndromes of gastric cancer.
