Objective:Through this study,we made a randomized controlled trial to proved that ERAS mode could be used for managing the patient who has rib fractures and is preparing for a SSRF operation during his or her peri-operative period, and this change of management mode will give rise to a better therapeutic effect when compared with the traditional one.In the meantime,we also made a comparison of an modified SSRF operation and the traditional one(a SSRF operation which uses a “self-made rib restorer” for assisting the operation instead of the traditional rib dissection),to observe how they effected on the recovery of patients, and to explore the role that modified operation played under the ERAS management mode.Methods:60 patients was performed in the affiliated hospital of Hangzhou Normal University from September 2016 to December 2018.we made a randomized controlled trial and divided them into 3 treatment group——traditional group,ERAS mode traditional-operation group, and ERAS mode modified-operation group. Results of preoperative examination, things that happened during operation, peripheral complications, length of intravenous analgesics use, length of thoracic tube place, length of hospital stay, and results of postoperative examination were observed. And used statistic analysis to demonstrate how different management modes and operations effect on patients. Results:Patients in the ERAS mode traditional-operation group was going to have a shorter time of thoracic tube place, intravenous analgesics use,and hospital stay, and can get over from bed earlier(P<0.05).And patients in this group had a lower rate of pulmonary complications compared with the traditional group.Their lung function can get recover in a fast pace within 7 days after surgery(P<0.05).ERAS mode modified-operation group hadn't get a better grade in total operation time compared with the ERAS mode traditional-operation group, but the itsperformance on decreasing bleeding during operation, reducing the length of intravenous analgesics use, promoting the autonomic activities of patients, and the shortening hospital stay were much better(P<0.05).The recovery of lung function of the patients in this group can make an excellent progress within 7 days after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion:Using ERAS mode to manage peri-operative patients can reduce the using of intravenous analgesics, decrease the happening of pulmonary peripheral complications, shorten the length of hospital stay, and accelerate the recovery of lung function. The modified SSRF operation can reduce the damage from operation itself, decrease the bleeding during operation, and release the pain of patients. And that operation method also can cooperate with ERAS management mode to accelerate the recovery of patients.
