ObjectiveThe study was aimed to investigate the status of ehealth literacy and quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and analyze the correlation between them;To further explore the ehealth literacy of CHD patients, and to dig into its influencing factors and existing problems,so as to provide reference for the later design of ehealth literacy intervention program for CHD patients and the method to improve their quality of life.MethodsIn this study, quantitative research and qualitative research were combined, and questionnaire survey,semi-structured interview and performance test were used to further explore the status of ehealth literacy and quality of life in CHD patients. It includes three parts:1.Quantitative study on the correlation between ehealth literacy and quality of life in CHD patients: A total of 360 CHD patients were selected by random sampling method in a third-class hospital in hangzhou. The investigation was conducted with a demographic data questionnaire, ehealth Literacy Scale(eHEALS),short-form 12-item health survey(SF-12).The data was input with Excel and analyzed by SPSS24.0,using statistical methods such as descriptive analysis,kolmogorov-smirnov test, independent samples t-test,one-way ANOVA,multiple linear regression,Pearson correlate.2.Qualitative study on ehealth literacy in CHD patients: A total of 15 CHD patients were selected by objective sampling method. Then a semi-structured interview was conducted on these patients.Colaizzi analysis method was used to summarize and analyze the interview data.3.Performance test on ehealth literacy in CHD patients: A total of 20 CHD patients were selected by random sampling method. To evaluate the specific problems encountered by patients when searching for disease-related health tasks on the Internet. Finally,Colaizzianalysis method was used to summarize and analyze the data.Results1.Quantitative study on the correlation between ehealth literacy and quality of life in CHD patients:(1)The score range of ehealth literacy in CHD patients was 8~40,the total mean score was(17.72±10.32),which was at the low level of foreign norms(eHEALS<26).In the three dimensions, the total of application ability of network health information and service was(2.28±1.37),the evaluation ability was(2.16±1.30),and the decision-making ability was(1.99±1.22).(2)The total score of ehealth literacy as the dependent variable, the single factor analysis of variance of statistically significant(p<0.001)variables: Age,marital status, education level, occupation, monthly income, time of illness, years of Internet use, time spent online every day and experience of searching for health information online as an independent variable, using stepwise multiple linear regression analysis, the results showed that years of Internet use, time spent online every day and experience of searching for health information online were major influential factors, which can explain 822.8% of the total variance of ehealth literacy.(3)The score range of the quality of life in CHD patients was 0~100,the total mean score was(62.27±17.68),which was at the low level of norm(SF-12<75).In the 8dimensions,the Physical Functioning score(71.16±22.84)was the highest, and the Role Physical score(46.68±22.72)was the lowest.(4)The correlation coefficient between the total score of ehealth literacy and the total score of quality of life and each dimension in CHD patients was 0.411~0.643(p<0.001).2.Qualitative study on ehealth literacy in CHD patients:The interview was divided into five topics:difficulty in finding information, weak ability to understand information, inability to evaluate information quality, insufficient application of information, and urgent need for help.3.Performance test on ehealth literacy in CHD patients:Problems encountered when searching for disease-related health tasks on the Internet can be summarized into four topics: operating computers and browsers, navigating and positioning on the Web,using search strategies, and evaluating information relevance and reliability.Conclusions1.Ehealth literacy and quality of life in CHD are relatively low,and studies have proved that the correlation of ehealth literacy and quality of life are moderately positive.2.Age,marital status, education level, occupation, monthly income, time of illness, had an impact on their ehealth literacy. But only years of Internet use, time spent online every day and experience of searching for health information online proved to be influential factors for ehealth literacy of the CHD patients.3.Through semi-structured interview,it is found that CHD patients have a strong demand for ehealth training, and they hope to communicate and discuss online health information with health professionals.4.Through performance test, relevant health professionals should pay attention to their basic computer operation skills, health information search strategy and network health information evaluation ability when conducting ehealth training for the CHD patients. Therefore, health professionals should pay attention to the current situation and demand of ehealth literacy of CHD patients.According to the different ages and education levels of patients, targeted ehealth literacy intervention programs can be provided to increase the frequency of access to network health information and improve ehealth literacy,so as to improve the quality of life.
