Objective:To explore the relationship between serum sclerostin level and coronary heart disease(CHD),Severity of coronary artery stenosis,in order to provide a new idea for the prevention and treatment of CHD.Methods:A tatal of 311 patients(185 males and 126 females)from March to August in 2018 who underwent coronary angiography were involved in our study,Collecting general data of patients,Height,Weight,Blood pressure were collected,Triglycerides(TG)?Total cholesterol(TC)?High-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)?Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)?Fasting blood glucose(FBG)?Uric acid(UA)? Calcium(Ca)? Alkaline phosphatase(ALP)? Osteocalcin(OC)?25-hydroxyl vitamin D(25-(OH)-D)?? collagen specific sequences(?-CTX)were measured.Serum Sclerostin was measured by ELISA.The patients were divided into CHD group(n = 206)and nonCHD group(n = 105).CHD group was divided into three groups according to Genisi score(low Genisi score group,n = 70)(middle Genisi score group,n = 69)and(high Genisi score group,n = 67).To compare the differences in sclerostin and explore the relationship between serum sclerostin and coronary heart disease and Severity of coronary artery stenosis.Results:1.Compared with non-CHD group,Age[(57.64±10.08)vs(60.06±8.68)P=0.028],TG [ 1.38(1.02~2.0)vs 1.70(1.12~2.74)P=0.003]?UA [296(228~350)vs 313(262~380)P=0.033]?Sclerostin [ 4.92(3.92~7.16)vs 6.03(3.97~9.15)P=0.004] were higher, and HDL-C [1.18(1.01~1.41)vs 1.10(0.95~1.29)P=0.004]?OC[15.03(10.35~19.28)vs 12.53(9.98~17.56)P=0.041] were lower in patients with CHD.A stratified study based on diabetes mellitus: Sclerostin levels significantly higher in CHD compared with non-CHD for both the DM and non-DM groups.2.Compared with the low Genisi score group,Sclerostin level in the middle Genisi group and high Genisi score group was significantly higher[4.92(3.12~8.05)vs 6.04(4.13~9.65)vs 7.33(4.78~12.19)P=0.001].Compared with the low Genisi score group,?-CTX in the high Genisi score groupwas higher [ 0.19(0.12~0.28)vs 0.26(0.17~0.37)P=0.036],25-(OH)-D in the high Genisi score group was lower [ 53.85(46.84~66.10)vs 48.49(39.80~60.86)P=0.049].3.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between Sclerostin and Genisi score, after age,BMI,blood glucose, blood lipid and bone turnover markers were adjusted(? = 0.275,P < 0.01)4.Logistic regression analysis showed that Sclerostin(OR =1.162,95% CI 1.065~1.269,P=0.001)? TG(OR =1.355,95% CI 1.062~1.728,P=0.014)was a risk factor for CHD,while OC(OR =0.092,95% CI 0.926~0.999,P=0.046)? HDL-C(OR =0.291,95% CI 0.113~0.751,P=0.011)were a factor for inhibiting CHD.Conclusion:Sclerostin in patients with coronary heart disease were increased, and positively correlated with the severity of coronary stenosis.sclerostin level is an independent risk factor for coronary heart disease.
