The Study On The Current Situation And Strategy Of Syphilis In Jiangsu Province

Background and Objective: Prevention and control of syphilis is important work in our country,in order to control of syphilis,we established the national syphilis control planning,At present,the risk factors of syphilis epidemic are widespread in China.The syphilis epidemic in Jiangsu province is similar to that in China,a series of investigations have been carried out in Jiangsu province,that is a survey of population syphilis awareness rate,a special study on syphilis.This study has several purposes: to understand the current situation of syphilis epidemic in Jiangsu province,to master the key areas and key groups of syphilis;to evaluate the current situation of syphilis prevention and control in Jiangsu province;to provide effective strategies for the prevention and treatment of syphilis in China through this survey.Method: This study uses the form that is “Data collection table for the mid-term evaluation of syphilis control planning”.The data was collected through existing data and field surveys.Existing data collected by existing information systems(China disease prevention and control information system,the national AIDS comprehensive prevention and control of information system,the national STD prevention and control management information system,national prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV,syphilis and hepatitis b management information system,etc.),including safeguard measures,different population awareness rate survey.Other data are collected through field surveys,including syphilis prevention and medical services professionals,maternal health care personnel grasp of the syphilis related professional knowledge and skills,STD institutions offer syphilis diagnosis and syphilis patients received specifications of consulting service,etc.The collected data were summarized and analyzed using EXCEL and SPSS18.Results: Mechanism of prevention and treatment of syphilis have been built;The knowledge and technical standards of syphilis for the professionals are 96.18%.;The knowledge of syphilis among urban residents,rural residents,floating population,prostitutes and MSM is 90.89%,83.57%,88.88%,92.13% and 90.93%;The proportion of the medical institutions those provide testing and consultation is 47.83%;The proportion of patients receiving free syphilis testing in the AIDS counseling and community drug maintenance clinics is 94.52%;The proportion of referral service for patients with syphilis is 99.71%;The proportion of free syphilis test for the women in urban areas is 99.80%,in rural areas is 99.60%;The proportion of standardized diagnosis and treatment service for pregnant women with syphilis,in urban areas is 91.20%,in rural areas is 81.70%;The proportion of syphilis patients received standard treatment is 92.20%;The accuracy rate of syphilis case reported is 97.15% in Jiangsu province;The participation rate of the laboratory ability verification is 91.13% and the qualified rate is 100%;The incidence of syphilis meet the requirements,the incidence of congenital syphilis is 28.28/100 000 live births.Conclusions:The effect of prevention and control for syphilis in Jiangsu province reached the national demand;In the investigation of syphilis,the overall awareness rate is high,however,the awareness rate for rural residents and floating population needs to be improved;The proportion of STD clinics proactively providing syphilis testing is low,we must pay attention to it;We should strengthen the detection and management of key groups;In rural areas,the level of syphilis treatment needs to be improved,especially medical conditions and medical skills;Case reports and laboratory levels are high,testing should be expanded to achieve greater coverage for easier to detect.
