Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture in the treatment of Tension-type Headache, and to emphasize the therapeutic effect of regulating emotion on Tension-type Headache, and to provide new ideas and methods for the clinical treatment of Tension-type Headache. Methods: Among the patients with Tension-type Headache who were admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,72 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group,36 cases. The patients in the control group selected Taiyang(double),Touwei(double),Baihui,Fengchi(double),Jingjiaji(double),Shenmen(double),Zusanli(double),Taichong(double). On the basis of the control group, the treatment group selected the emotional area of the head needle division of Professor Sun Shentian, and energized the Baihui-emotional area with an electro-acupuncture device for 20 minutes. The needles were left in each of the two groups for 30 minutes.Treatment once a day,30 minutes each time,2days off after every 5 treatments,14 days for a course of treatment,2consecutive courses. The pain visual analogue(VAS)score, the headache score, the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)score, and the changes in the indicators were observed before, after, and 1 month after treatment. And calculate the total efficiency. Results: After treatment and one month after treatment, the VAS score, headache score,HAMA score,HAMD score and the pre-treatment score of the two groups were statistically significant(p < 0.05).There was no statistical significance between after the treatment and one month after the treatment in VAS score, headache score,HAMA score and HAMD score in each group(p >0.05).The VAS score, headache score,HAMA scores,HAMD score after the treatment and one month after the treatment were statistically significant between the two groups(p < 0.05).There was no change in the total effective rate of the two groups after treatment and 1 month after treatment. The totaleffective rate of the treatment group was 94.29%;the total effective rate of the control group was 82.35%.The therapeutic effect of two groups after treatment and 1 month after treatment were statistically significant(p < 0.05)in comparison. Conclusion: 1.Electroacupuncture emotional area combined with conventional acupuncture and conventional acupuncture alone for the treatment of Tension-type Headache have clinical efficacy, but the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture emotional area combined with conventional acupuncture is better than conventional acupuncture alone.2.The electroacupuncture emotional area combined with conventional acupuncture and conventional acupuncture alone improve the anxiety and depression associated with Tension-type Headache, but the improvement of electroacupuncture emotional area combined with conventional acupuncture is better than conventional acupuncture alone.
