Clinical Observation On Ren Shen Bai Du Powder Modification Treating Diarrhea-Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome(Liver-stagnation And Spleen-deficiency Syndrome)

Objective: To observe the clinical effects,safety and recent recurrence rate of Ren Shen Bai Du Powder modification in the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(liver-stagnation and spleen-deficiency syndrome)in order to provide new treatment ideas for clinical treatment of IBS-D.Methods:According to the design method of randomized controlled trial,85 patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome of liver-stagnation and spleen-deficiency syndrome in the Department of Gastroenterology,Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,which met the inclusion criteria,were divided into a treatment group and a control group,43 patients in the treatment group,42 patients in the control group,and the treatment group were treated with Ren Shen Bai Du Powder modification.The control group was treated with montmorillonite powder(Si Mi Da)for 4 weeks.TCM syndrome score,total scores of IBS-SSS,the number of patients whose the symptoms of abdominal pain disappeared and the stool returned to normal in the first week,adverse reactions and the recurrence rate of effective patients in the two groups after two months at the end of the treatment were record and analyze.Results:(1)The efficacy analysis:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.00%,the other one was 60.52%.The two groups were compared with significant difference(P<0.01).(2)Clinical symptom score: The scores of two groups after treatment reduced more than before treatment scores in the total scores of IBS-SSS and TCM syndromes(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01);On single TCM syndrome scores,both groups can improve diarrhea(P<0.01),and the curative effect was equivalent(P>0.05).Both groups can improve abdominal pain or(and)abdominal distension and unpleasant bowel movements(P<0.05),and the treatment group was obviously superior than the control group(P<0.01).The treatment group could significantly improve emotional depression or irritability,chest fullness,fatigue,fatigue,sigh,and food intake(P<0.01).The control group was not effective(P>0.05).(3)In the first week of treatment,there were 14 patients with symptoms of abdominal pain disappeared in the treatment group and 4 patients in the control group.There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).In the first week of treatment,there were 10 patients with symptoms of abdominal pain disappeared in the treatment group and 3 patients in the control group.The treatment group is better than control group(P<0.05).In the first week of treatment,the number of patients whose stool returned to normal was 10 in the treatment group and 3 in the control group..The treatment group is better than control group(P<0.05).(4)Safety analysis:The occurrence rate of adverse reactions are respectively 2.50% and 5.2% in the treatment group and the control group,and the sample size was small,which is not statistically significant(P=0.610>0.05).(5)Following-up analysis: The recurrence rate of the treatment group and the control group are respectively 16.67%?52.17%after two mouths following up,which is statistically significant(P<0.05),shows that the treatment group has a significant advantage in reducing the recent recurrence rate.Conclusion: Ren Shen Bai Du Powder modification has good effect to relieve clinical symptoms in IBS-D(liver-stagnation and spleen-deficiency syndrome),and quickly relieves the symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea.The occurrence rate of adverse reactions and the recent recurrence rate is low.It provides a new treatment idea for the clinical treatment of IBS-D,which deserves further research and application.
