| Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Shaoyangrunmu Drink combined with Polyvinyl Alcohol Eye Drops in the treatment of dry eye after phacoemulsification.To analyze the effects of Shaoyang Runmu Deink combined with artificial tears on tear break-up time(BUT),Schirmer I test(SIT),corneal fluorescence staining(FL)and symptom scores in dry eye patients after cataract surgery.And to explore the etiology and pathogenesis of dry eye in cataract surgery.The subjectiveMethods Sixty patients(60 eyes)with the dry eye who had underwent phacoemulsification were collected from October 2017 to April 2018 in The Department of Ophthalmology,Dongzhimen Hospital Affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.The patients were divided into two groups randomly: treatment group(30 eyes)with routine treatment of tobramycin dexamethasone eye drops after surgery,plus traditional Chinese medicine Shaoyangrunmu Drink two times a day and artificial tears-Polyvinyl Alcohol Eye Drops four times a day treatment.control group(30 eyes)only with Polyvinyl Alcohol Eye Drops four times a day for 28 days.The subjective tear breakup time(BUT),Schirmer I test(SIT),corneal fluorescence staining(FL)and ocular surface disease index(OSDI)scores were observed at before treatment,day 14 and day 28 after the treatment.The data obtained from the test were statistically analyzed with SPSS21.0.P<0.05 considered the difference statistically significant.While significant difference was considered at P<0.01.Results 1.There was no significant difference in gender,age,TCM symptom scores and OSDI scores before treatment(P>0.05),it was comparable between the two group of patients.2.After treatment,TCM symptom scores of patients in the treatment group,it was significantly effective in 5 eyes,effective in 20 eyes,ineffective 4 eyes,better than the control group(significantly effective in 1 eye,effective in 18 eyes,ineffective 9 eyes),the difference was statistically significant,P<0.01.3.The improvement of the stability of tear film,Sit,FL on the dry eye after cataract surgery were better than before.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the prolongation of tear film rupture time,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P <0.01).4.In the two groups,the improvement of ocular symptoms in patients: before and after treatment,the patient's soreness and foreign body sensation were significantly reduced or disappeared after treatment(P<0.05).There was a difference in foreign body sensation between the two groups(P<0.05).There was no difference in the feeling of soreness(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in photophobia between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),but the disappearance rate of photophobia in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group.The treatment group increased from 24% to 34%,and the control group increased from 7% to 14%.5.No adverse reactions were found in either group during the treatment period.Conclusion Shaoyang depression is an important pathogenesis of dry eye after cataract surgery.The treatment group has obvious advantages in improving patients' clinical symptoms and enhancing tear film stability.Traditional Chinese medicine Shaoyangrunmu Drink is superior to artificial tears in the treatment of dry eye after cataract surgery. |
