ObjectivesTo observe and compare the effects of acupuncture combined with conventional therapy and conventional therapy on foot symptoms,quality of life and VPT of patients with high-risk diabetic foot,and to evaluate their recent efficacy,so as to provide a basis for the clinical application of acupuncture.MethodsIn this study,70 patients with high-risk diabetic foot who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly split into experimental and contrast group,with 35 patients in each group.On the basis of the contrast group,the acupuncture group selected CV12,ST25,CV4,GB34,ST36,SP6,KI3 and LR3 for acupuncture 20 times,once a day,five times as a course,with a 2-day interval,a total of four courses.The total score of foot symptoms,DMQLS and VPT were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.The recent clinical efficacy of the two groups were evaluated after treatment.Results1.A total of 65 cases were enrolled in this study,including 32 in the experimental group and 33 in the contrast group.2.There were no significant differences in gender,age,BMI,course of disease,history of foot ulcer,FPG,2hPBG,HbA1 c,the total score of foot symptoms,DMQLS and VPT between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.There were a significant difference in the total score of foot symptoms,DMQLS and VPT between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05).4.There were a significant difference in the total score of foot symptoms,DMQLS average score,disease,physiological and social dimension,VPT comparedwith the contrast group after treatment(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in psychological and satisfaction dimension compared with the contrast group after treatment(P > 0.05).5.There was a significant difference between the two groups in clinical curative and effective rate(P < 0.05).The curative rate of the acupuncture group was 18.8%,that of the contrast group was 9.1%.The effective rate of the acupuncture group was84.4%,that of the contrast group was 63.6%..Conclusion1.Acupuncture combined with routine treatment and single routine treatment have certain clinical effects on patients with high-risk of diabetic foot,and can improve the symptoms,the quality of life and the VPT in patients.2.Acupuncture combined with routine treatment is more significant in improving the symptoms,the quality of life,the VPT and the clinical efficacy.
