| Objective:To investigate the short-term effects of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy on obesity and its associated metabolic diseases.Methods:The preoperative data of 33 obese patients who underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy surgery in The Second Hospital of Hebei Medical university during March 2016 to March 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.Postoperative body weight,body mass index(BMI),the percentage of excess weight loss(EWL%),fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc),HOMA-IR,uric acid(UA),blood pressure,triglyceride(TG),cholesterol(CHOL)as well as other metabolic indicators were followed up and recorded.Statistical methods were used to analyze and compare the changes of preoperative and postoperative relevant indicators.Results:Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy was successfully performed in 33 obese patients with no conversion to laparotomy.No bleeding,infection,gastric leakage,etc.The follow-up time was 12 months,The patient's weight decreased from(116.97±23.63)kg to(78.94±13.67)kg.BMI decreased from(41.01±7.68)kg/m~2 to(27.68±4.22)kg/m~2,fasting blood glucose from(8.99±4.13)mmol/L to(5.50±0.42)mmol/L,glycosylated hemoglobin from(7.7±1.72)%to(5.25±0.67)%,uric acid from(487±45.15)umol/L to(330.64±45.75)umol/L,triglycerides from(2.78±0.60)mmol/L to(1.24±0.38)mmol/L.The total cholesterol decreased from(5.82±0.18)mmol/L to(4.48±0.74)mmol/L,and the difference was statistically significant compared with that before operation(P<0.05).The EWL%at 1,3,6 and 12months after surgery were(27.73±15.98)%,(50.26±21.50)%,(72.43±25.09)%,(83.68±24.65)%,respectively.One patient presented incision fat liquefaction,which healed after dressing change,and one patient presented postoperative nausea and vomiting,which improved after symptomatic treatment.Conclusions:Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy for obesity,type 2 diabetes,hyperlipidemia,hyperuricemia and other related metabolic diseases is a safe surgical method with significant short-term efficacy. |
