Objectives: To explore the effect of individualized nutritional support on patients with lumbar tuberculosis combined with type II diabetes mellitus after operation.Methods:1.95 patients of lumbar tuberculosis with type II diabetes were selected for surgical treatment in our hospital, and the patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.2.Scientific dietary intervention was given to patients according to calorie requirement 1-14 days after operation.3.During perioperative period the level of glycated hemoglobin(GHb),the fasting and 2 hour postprandial blood glucose were observed in two groups, and the complications in the two groups were observed.4.The data were analyzed with SPSS 21.0,and the “P<0.05” indicated that there was statistically significant difference. Results: There was no statistical difference between the two groups of age, gender,BMI and other general data(P>0.05).The levels of GHb,fasting blood glucose and 2 hour postprandial blood glucose were significantly decreased in the two groups(P<0.05).In the test group, the fasting blood glucose and 2 hour postprandial blood glucose were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of surgical incision infection in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The application of individualized nutritional support in patients with lumbar tuberculosis and type II diabetes mellitus had a good effect on controlling fasting blood glucose level and 2 hour postprandial blood glucose level, and the satisfactory nursing effect had also been achieved in reducing the infection rate of surgical incision..
