Non-governmental Organizations Collaborative Participation In AIDS Prevention And Control Research

Since 1985,when AIDS patients were first found in China,the prevention and control of AIDS has been highly valued by our government.At present,we have established a "government-led,multi-sectoral collaboration,and the whole society jointly participate" AIDS prevention and control service system.NGOs play an indispensable role in the field of AIDS prevention and control,relying on their advantages of flexibility,easy access to target groups and strong professionalism,and have been highly valued by the central and local governments.However,in the process of non-governmental organizations participating in AIDS prevention and control,there are still some problems,such as the lack of policy support,poor operation mechanism,insufficient organization funds,shortage of talent supply and public distrust,which seriously hinder the ability of non-governmental organizations to participate in AIDS prevention and control in a coordinated manner.L organization is a non-governmental organization with many years of experience in AIDS prevention in Guangzhou.Since its inception,it has actively cooperated with government departments to provide AIDS prevention services for gay men and adolescents.On the basis of literature review and interviews,this paper summarizes the experience of L organization in AIDS prevention and control,the difficulties it faces,and analyses the causes of the difficulties.At the same time,it puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the participation of non-governmental organizations in AIDS prevention and control in China,based on the experience of non-governmental organizations in developed countries and regions.From the government level,the government should further change its thinking and actively adapt to the trend of cooperation;constantly optimize the developme nt environment of non-governmental organizations on AIDS prevention;increase funding for non-governmental organizations on AIDS prevention;absorb policy recommendations from non-governmental organizations on AIDS prevention;and improve the social support environment for AIDS prevention.From the non-governmental organization level,we should strengthen the interaction and cooperation with the government,establish a trust mechanism with the government,establish a cooperative network between non-governmental organizations for AIDS prevention,establish diversified channels for fund-raising,improve the organization's human resources security mechanism,expand its influence through publicity,and enhance the organization's social credibility.
