[Objective]To investigate the present situation of the medical and nursing staff of gynecology and obstetrics in Rugao local hospitals at all levels,we explored the relevant influencing factors of occupational stress, the correlation between occupational stress and job satisfaction of gynecology and obstetrics doctors and nurses. Our study is designed to understand the demand of gynecology and obstetrics medical staff in hospitals at all levels, relieve occupational stress, and provide basis for alleviating occupational stress and improving job satisfaction.[Methods]In this study we made cluster sampling of obstetrics and gynecology staff(doctors, nurses and midwives)in Rugao Hospitals, including 2 tertiary hospitals,9 secondary hospitals, and 34 first-level hospitals.Occupational stress scale(OSI-R)and Minnesota satisfaction scale(MSQ)were collected from 400 questionnaires, and 391 effective questionnaires were collected. The effective rate was 97.8%.Among them,121 were doctors,201 were nurses and 69 were midwives.[Results]1.The average score of occupational task of gynecology and obstetrics workers was 147.59,with the highest score of task discomfort(27.23)and the lowest score of working environment(21.74).The scores of individual stress reaction were 91.99,interpersonal stress was the highest(24.73),and the lowest was business stress(21.16).The individual coping resource score was 126.14,the social support score was the highest(36.25),and the leisure score was the lowest(26.74).2.Different occupational stress responses varied among obstetrics and gynaecologists with different characteristics. The task ambiguity score of the 31-40-year-old group was higher than that of the other three groups(P<0.05),while the responsibility score of the group was higher than that of the other three groups(P<0.05).In terms of individual coping resources, the group aged 25-30 had the highest leisure score(P<0.05).The score of business stress response of unmarried obstetrical and obstetrical medical workers was higher than that of married group(P<0.05).In terms of individual coping resources, the leisure scores of the unmarried group were higher than those of the married group(P<0.05).The vocational task score and individual stress response score of the technical secondary school group were higher than those of the college and above group(P<0.05).In terms of individual coping resources, the self-care score of the college and above group was higher than that of the technical college group(P<0.05).Doctors scored higher than nurses and midwives in terms of task ambiguity(P<0.05).In terms of occupational tasks, the task overweight score of the group larger than 20 years was higher than the other three groups(P<0.05).In terms of individual nervous response, the group with less than 5 years had the highest score of business nervous response(P<0.05),and the group with less than 5 years had higher scores of leisure response than the other three groups(P<0.05),while the group with more than 20 years had the highest scores in the four groups(P<0.05).The scores of obstetrics and gynecology medical workers in secondary hospitals were higher than that of primary hospitals and tertiary hospitals(P<0.05)in terms of tasks overweight, task discomfort, task ambiguity, task conflict and business stress response, and the social support score of tertiary hospitals was higher than that of primary hospitals and secondary hospitals(P<0.05).3.Factors affecting the individual stress response of gynaecology and obstetrics workers include self-care,work environment, task conflict, task discomfort, marital status and social support, among which self-care,marital status and social support were negatively correlated with individual stress response, work environment, task conflict and task discomfort were positively correlated.Factors affecting the response to business stress are occupational tasks, overwork, social support, marital status,self-care,work environment, task conflict, leisure and task ambiguity with overloaded tasks, social support, and marital status. There was a negative correlation between self-care and occupational task, work environment, task conflict, leisure and task ambiguity.4.The total job satisfaction score of gynecology and obstetrics workers was 75.51 ±11.83,and the internal satisfaction was higher than that of external.Among the items of internal satisfaction, the medical staffs are the most satisfied with the moral value and the lowest with the participation in decision-making.In the external satisfaction, the satisfaction of the colleague relationship is the highest, and the satisfaction of the lowest is the reward.5.The job satisfaction of medical workers with different characteristics was analyzed, and it was found that the job satisfaction of medical staff with different characteristics was higher than that of male(P < 0.05),the general satisfaction and external satisfaction of medical staff aged 25-30 were higher than those of the other three groups(P < 0.05).The external satisfaction of doctors was lower than that of nurses and midwives(P < 0.05),and the score of satisfaction of second-level hospitals was higher than that of first-level hospitals and third-grade hospitals(P < 0.05).6.The correlation analysis of job satisfaction and occupational stress showed that general satisfaction, internal satisfaction and external satisfaction were negatively correlated with occupational task and individual stress response, and positively correlated with individual coping resources.Further multiple linear regression analysis showed that job satisfaction was negatively correlated with individual stress,self-care,task discomfort and working environment, and positively correlated with gender, task ambiguity, social support and responsibility.[Conclusion]The medical staffs of gynecology and obstetrics have a certain degree of occupational stress. They think that the work task is too heavy, the ability does not match with the task, the interpersonal relationship is tense, and they do not take part in leisure activities to alleviate the occupational stress reaction.Occupational stress varied among different age, marital status, post, length of service and hospital grade.Individual stress was negatively correlated with self-care,marital status and social support, positively correlated with work environment, task conflict and task discomfort.1.The internal satisfaction of gynecology and obstetrics medical staff is higher than that of external satisfaction, and their moral value and colleague relationship are full. For participation in decision-making,compensation satisfaction is the lowest.2.The job satisfaction of medical and nursing staff in gynecology and obstetrics was negatively correlated with individual nervous reaction,self-care,task discomfort and work environment, and positively correlated with gender, task ambiguity, social support and sense of responsibility.
