Objective:This paper intends to use the meta-analysis method to evaluate the effects of different blood pressure targets on cardiovascular events,so as to provide scientific basis for the optimal blood pressure control target for patients with hypertension. Methods:Pubmed,Embase,Cochrane library,CNKI,CBM and other Chinese and English databases were searched systematically to screen the randomised controlled trials of the effects of different blood pressure target values on cardiovascular events, and Rveman 5.3 software was used for meta analysis of the included data. Results:Seven randomized controlled trials involving a total of 32,315 participants were included.Compared with standard blood pressure target(< 140/90mmHg),intensive blood pressure control(< 130/80mmHg)achieved hazard ratio(HR)reductions for myocardial infarction(HR=0.84;95%CI,0.72-0.96),stroke(HR=0.82;95%CI,0.71-0.95)and heart failure(HR=0.77;95%CI,0.63-0.95).No intensive blood pressure control was found to reduce or increase the risk of all-cause or cardiovascular death. Conclusion:Compared with a blood pressure target of < 140/90 mmHg,a systolic BP target of <130 mmHg achieved more cardiovascular benefits and reduced the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke and heart failure.
