Since China's reform and opening up,the medical and health system has been changing constantly.Public hospitals should not only treat patients and save people,but also enhance the enthusiasm of hospital staff,so it is imperative to implement performance appraisal.However,some hospitals fail to have a deep and comprehensive understanding of performance management,which leads to the following problems: setting assessment indicators based on economic interests;not doing a good job in the early stage of assessment;not using the results of assessment rationally,only taking the results of performance assessment as a reference basis for the payment of employees' salaries.In order to improve these phenomena,this paper takes Y Hospital as an example,carries out research,discusses the problems existing in the performance appraisal of the hospital,and proceeds to optimize the performance appraisal system of the hospital based on the actual situation.Firstly,according to the background information of this study,the related concepts of hospital performance appraisal and the status quo of performance appraisal in Y hospital are analyzed and summarized.Then,when optimizing the appraisal system,combining the deficiencies existing in Y hospital,using the Balanced Scorecard theory and combining the expert consultation method with the analytic hierarchy process,the performance appraisal index is re-selected and its weight is determined.The performance appraisal system of Y Hospital was re-optimized by determining the assessment criteria,planning the assessment process and applying the assessment results.Based on the actual situation of Y Hospital,this study set out to build a scientific,suitable and operable performance appraisal system for the hospital.This will help Y hospital optimize the level of medical services,enhance hospital competitiveness,and promote the reform of Y hospital performance appraisal system.At the same time,the results of this study can provide reference for similar hospitals to reform performance appraisal system.
