| ObjectivesTotal knee arthroplasty is the most widely prescribed treatment for patients with severe osteoarthritis today, which can effectively improve patients’ clinical symptoms and improve their quality of life. However, the postoperative pain and dysfunction problems seriously plague clinical medical workers. How to relieve the pain of patients as soon as possible and improve the postoperative dysfunction to the greatest extent becomes a necessity f’or clinical exploration. This study aimed to investigate the effects of floating needle on pain score(VAS score),knee joint mobility(ROM)and Knee joint circumference after total knee arthroplasty(TKA).The effect of acupuncture on alleviating pain and improving dysfunction after total knee arthroplasty provides a new diagnosis and rigorous research data for the clinic, and provides a more powerful evidence-based medical basis for the clinical use of floating needles.MethodsThis subjc ct follows the principles of clinical epidemiology and evidence-based medicine, and selected 62 patients(29 males,33 females)who met the inclusion criteria after tota]knee arthroplasty from February 2018 to January 2019 in the Department of Orthopaedies, the Second Hospital of Guangdong Province. The selected patients were grouped by random number table method, and 31 patients in the experimental group and the control group. All patients signed informed consent for testing. Both groups underwent continuous analgesia for the first 3 days after total knee arthroplasty, and then changed to oral celecoxib. All the patients are required to do continued passive functional exercise(CPM)and encouraged to move their knee joint, ankle joint and each active toe.In the experimental group, the floating needle was treated once in the morning after the Rounds on the 1st,3rd,and 5th day after the operation. The control group had no special treatment. The pain score(VAS score),knee joint circumference, and joint mobility of the two groups was observed in the afternoon of the first, third, and fifth days before the dressing change.Data processing was performed by SPSS19.0 group t test, variance test and two-samPle rank sum test. The experimental results were statistically analyzed.p<0.05 was considered as significant difference.Result1.The VAS score of the experimental group was signifi cantly lower than that of the control group on the 1st postoperative day(p<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically different. But there was no significant difference in the VAS score between the two groups on the 3rd and 5th postoperative day and the dif’ference between the two groups(p>0.05).2.The joint activity of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group on the 1st and 3rd day after operation(p<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically different, too. The joint activity and difference 3 in the 5th day there was not significant difference(p>0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the circumference of the knee joint between the two groups(p>0.05).ConclusionsEarly use of floating needle treatment can effectively relieve pain after knee joint replacement and improve knee joint function activities, whieh is conducive to early functional exercise, increasing surgical satisfaction and enhaneing rehabilitation confidence. It has the advantages of simple operation, small side effects, easy acceptance and cooperation of patients, and is worthy of clinical promotion. |
