Objective : To analyze the characteristics and dynamic changes of pulmonary tuberculosis in children was analyzed based on CT imaging.Method : CT data of 99 children with pulmonary tuberculosis were retrospectively analyzed.According to age,the patients were divided into infant group, toddler group, preschool group and school age group.Imaging findings were classified into primary syndrome, hematogenous disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis, secondary pulmonary tuberculosis and tuberculous pleurisy. The characteristics and regularity of the disease at different age stages were analyzed.Result : 1.The difference of morbidity among different age groups was as follows: Primary syndrome P = 0.005,secondary tuberculosis P = 0.001,tuberculous pleurisy P = 0.828 and hematogenous disseminated tuberculosis P = 0.750.There were significant differences in primary syndromes among groups: infant group, toddler group and school age group(P values were 0.000 and 0.003,respectively).2.The incidence of primary syndrome, secondary pulmonary tuberculosis and hematogenous disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis were 27.9% and 6.06%,respectively,P =0.012.The incidence of primary syndrome, secondary pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with tuberculous pleurisy was 14.8%.9.1%,P value=0.432.3.There was a linear trend in the incidence of primary syndrome and secondary tuberculosis in the overall sample size, both P<0.001.4.A total of 61 patients(61.6%)with primary syndrome had signs of mediastinal and/or hilar lymphadenopathy, and 40(65.6%)had lung tissue. There were 33 cases(33.3%)of secondary pulmonary tuberculosis. The lesions often involved multiple lung lobe and lung segments, and the performance was diverse. There were 21 cases(21.2%)with disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis, all of which showed acute phase and 2 cases existed alone.15 cases(15.2%)of tuberculous pleurisy showed pleural effusion, pleural thickening and adhesion(86.7%),and 3 cases existed alone. Conclusion : Pulmonary tuberculosis in children of all ages has some characteristics and dynamic changs. The incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in infants was primary pulmonary tuberculosis. With the increasing of age,the incidence of primary pulmonary tuberculosis decreased gradually, while the incidence of secondary pulmonary tuberculosis increased gradually, and showed a linear trend.Primary pulmonary tuberculosis is more likely to be complicated with hematogenous disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis than secondary pulmonary tuberculosis, yet there is no significant difference between primary pulmonary tuberculosis and secondary pulmonary tuberculosis.
