Effects Of TCM Supporting-yang Cupping Nursing Technology On Improving Main Symptoms Of Patients With Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy

Objective:To investigate the effect of Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology on improving pain,cervical spine function and quality of life in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR),formulate the nursing standard of Supporting-yang Cupping therapy in the treatment of CSR,explore,standardize and popularize the Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology,provide new ideas and methods for nursing and evaluating CSR.The study is a randomized controlled clinical trial involving the treatment(Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology)group and the control(massage)group.Methods:1.The Delphi method was used to formulate the standard of Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology in the treatment of CSR.2.80 patients with CSR who met the diagnostic criteria in the physiatry department of Shanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and who had not been treated one week before diagnosis were randomly selected by random digital table method as the subjects of the study.40 cases in the treatment group were treated with Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology,and 40 cases in the control group were treated with massage therapy.Before and after intervention,the patients were assessed with Visual Analog Scale(VAS),Cervical Spondylosis Radiculopathy Syndrome Scale,Short Form Health Survey Questionnaire 36(SF-36)to evaluate the pain,cervical spine function and life quality of the patients.The scores of the two groups were compared.Results:1.The recovery rate in the two rounds of letter inquiry is 100%,the authority coefficient is all >80%,C.V is all<0.25,the Kendall’s concordance coefficient is all > 0.3.It shows that the experts have a high degree of initiative,authority and coordination.Through the results of letter inquiries,the standard of Supporting-yang Cupping Therapy in the treatment of CSR was constructed.2.After intervention,the total score of VAS and Cervical Spondylosis Radiculopathy Syndrome Scale were significantly decreased,and the total score of SF-36 scale was significantly increased in the two groups,there was significant difference between the two groups before and after intervention(P<0.05).There were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group in the dimensions of physical sign tests,upper limb motor sensation in the Cervical Spondylosis Radiculopathy Syndrome Scale after intervention(P<0.05).And there were significant differences in the dimensions of vitality,emotional role functioning and mental health in the SF-36 scale between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology and massage therapy can effectively relieve the pain,improve cervical spine function and life quality of CSR patients.Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology is superior to massage therapy in the recovery of cervical spine function(physical sign tests,upper limb motor sensation)and the improvement of life quality(vitality,emotional role functioning and mental health).Supporting-yang Cupping nursing technology is easy to operate,low risk and easy for patients to accept in the process of clinical nursing,it can be used as a hypurgia to alleviate the symptoms of CSR.
