In order to explore the application and intervention effect of sports fitness methods that suitable for the physical and mental development characteristics of children with autism,this study is based on the research results of sports intervention for autistic children at home and abroad,using the methods of literature,case study,expert interview and other research methods to study the effect of sports fitness methods to autistic children,the effect of individual sports intervention was explored.The research results include summarizing and sorting out the system framework of autistic children’s exercise and fitness methods from the perspective of fundamental motor skill classification and physical fitness development;summarizing the obstacle characteristics of autistic children,their special needs and precautions in sports and fitness activities.In this study,12 children aged 3-6 years old with autism in Beijing Angchen Adapted Sports Training Center were investigated.According to their physical and mental development characteristics,the methods applied in their exercise and fitness training were collected,sorted,classified and compiled.The basic steps and requirements of the exercise and fitness methods for children with autism are put forward.Based on the 12-week case study,the intervention effects of exercise and fitness programs on social skills,emotional management and behavior management of autistic children and exercise fitness are observed and analyzed.At the same time,the study summarizes the applicability of visual lists,social stories,event debugging and video demonstration methods and strategies in sports and fitness for children with autism.The conclusions of the study include the confirmation that the intervention of exercise and fitness activities has a positive effect on children with autism;in the process of getting along with children with autism,it is first necessary to establish mutual trust and exercise intervention in the environment where autistic children feel safe and comfortable.Interventions in exercise and fitness activities for children with autism require more lasting time;an intervention program combining school education and family education is established to consolidate the intervention effect.The research recommendations include strengthening the individualized research on the intervention program of autistic children’s exercise and fitness activities,optimizing the screening of the content of the exercise and fitness intervention program;strengthening the “de-medicalization” intervention for autistic children,and choosing exercise and fitness activities intervention method.
