Clinical Significance Of Serum MMP-9 In Acute Attack Of Bronchial Asthma

Objective: The expression of serum matrix metalloproteinase-9(matrix metalloproteinase-9,MMP-9)was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,ELISA)in patients with different severity of bronchial asthma to explore the clinical significance of serum matrix metalloproteinase-9 in acute attack of bronchial asthma.Methods: From December 2017 to September 2018,53 patients(17mild,18 moderate and 18 severe)with acute attack of bronchial asthma were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jishou University were selected as observation group(mild,moderate and severe groups),24 patients in the health examination center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Jishou University in the same period as the control group.The concentration of MMP-9 in fasting serum of each group was detected by EALISA,and the results were analyzed.Results: Compared with the control group,the expression of serum MMP-9 in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).In the observation group,there were significant differences in the expression of serum MMP-9 between mild group and severe group,moderate group and severe group(P < 0.05).The correlation analysis indicated that the expression levels of serum MMP-9 in mild group,moderate group and severe group were significantly correlated(P = 0.000)and positively correlated(r = 0.867).Conclusion: The expression level of serum MMP-9 increased in patients with acute attack of asthma,and may be positively correlated with the severity of acute attack of asthma.
