| Huxiang medicine has a long history and there is a galaxy of famous docators in the Huxiang area.Absorbed by the doctors in the past generations,The folk prescriptions have enriched the connotation of medicine in Huxiang area,and have laid the foundation for the prosperity of Huxiang medicine in the Qing Dynasty.The Qing dynasty advocated the Zhongjing theory,and Zhang Zhongjing was regarded as the originator of Huxiang Medicine.Affected by factors such as the folk beliefs,the level of economic development,and the abundance of medicinal materials,the number of doctors in Huxiang area in the Qing Dynasty rose to over 600,being the largest compared with prior generations.And Changsha had the largest share,with more than 200 doctors.The number of shengyuan and those who gave up the pursuit of imperial examination accounted for a certain proportion.From the perspective of spatial distribution,most of the doctors who came from Changsha,Hengzhou,Baoqing helped to consolidate the status of medical center due to the space distribution;in terms of medical training,most doctors learn the medical theropy by self-study,family legacy and other means,which promotes the quality improvement of medical practitioners.The diversity of medical practitioners is another manifestation of the prosperity of Huxiang medicine in the Qing Dynasty.Folk doctors were active in the medical market,and the shi-bureaucrats who came from the Huxiang area also began to pour into the medical team.The doctors who came from the Huxiang area combined the theory of traditional Chinese medicine classics with folk medicine to promote the theoretical innovation of the medicine in Huxiang area.The special regional environment,the hot and humid climate caused the epidemic to breed,in the meanwhile,the spread of the epidemic has promoted the discussion and development of medical theory.During the same period,diphtheria prevailed in that area.Zhang Shaoxiu’s textual research on Zheng Meijun’s theory of "nourishing yin and clearing the lungs" promoted the innovation of diphtheria medical therapy and contributed to the treatment of diphtheria.The prevalence of the medical examination evidence,the banned book policy was gradually loosening,and the transfer of the book center after the Xian tong,the Hunan medical record printing business was flourishing.According to th time distribution,the publication of Huxiang medical records was concentrated after Tongzhi;according to the form of publication,the number of medical records published by workshop and private engraving was more than official carving.The "New Compilation of the Prescription" was widely published and became an important bibliography for practicing medicine at that time.The amount of practical experience is an important measure of medical technique.Huang Delian,an Anhua doctor,combined with the medical experience during his official period,and then wrote a book entitled "Warm Diseases and Diseases." While absorbing the private medical prescription,the family of doctors in Huxiang maintained its identity with the "Sholar"status.Although there were many practitioners in the Zunyang Zheng clan,from the perspective of genealogy writing and social activities,members of the Zunyang Zheng family had a strong desire to enter the scholar group.The Zheng clan tried to find a balance between the social activities of the folk medical care and the construction of the"scholar,identity,which reflected the profound influence of the Hunan folk doctors in the Qing Dynasty on medical development.Huxiang practitioners promoted the development of Huxiang medicine in the Qing Dynasty by following the principle of medication according to local conditions,absorbing the folk medical methods,and participating in local affairs.Compared with Jiang Nan Medicine,the Hu xiang Medicine fail to form a complete theoretical system.The doctors in Huxiang area communicated with the native complex as a link,their medicine theories based on folk prescription have its distinct regional features.The doctors in Huxiang area devoted themselves to epidemic prevention and disaster elimination,and published medical books,which laid the foundation for the development of Huxiang medicine during the Republic of China. |
