Objective Patients with depression were treated with left high frequency and right low frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS).To explore the effect of repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)with different frequencies on cognitive function in patients with depression, and to provide reliable data for the clinical application of rTMS in patients with depression. Methods This study was carried out in the sixth people's Hospital of Hebei Province.72 patients with depression from January 2018 to December 2018 were randomly divided into two groups: "high frequency group" and "low frequency group" with 36 cases in each group. The stimulation frequency was 10 HZ in the high frequency group, the(DLPFC)in the left dorsolateral frontal lobe was selected as the stimulating site, the stimulating frequency in the low frequency group was 1HZ,and the right DLPFC was selected as the stimulating site. The stimulation intensity of both groups was 100% exercise threshold(MT),.2000 stimuli,5 times a week, were treated for 2 weeks.Separate Before treatment, after treatment and 1 month after treatment, the clinical efficacy was evaluated by Hamilton Depression scale(HAMD-17)and Clinical efficacy scale(CGI-SI).The cognitive function of patients was assessed by TMT-A),stroop color word test(SCWT),)Wisconsin card sorting test(WCST).Results 1.There was no significant difference in each index between the two groups in baseline period(P>0.05).2.After 2 weeks of treatment with rTMS,the HAMD-17 and CGI-SI scores of the two groups were lower than those of the baseline and follow-up periods, but more significantly than those of the baseline period.Over time, there were significant differences in scores between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).3.After 2 weeks of rTMS treatment, the high frequency group was 50% effective and the low frequency group was 46.9%.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P=0.806).One month after the end of rTMS treatment,it was found that the effective rate in the high frequency group was 50%,while that in the low frequency group was 43.7%.There was no statistically significant difference in efficacy between the two groups(P=0.622).4.After 2 weeks of treatment, the scores of TMT-A,SCWT,WCST complete classification and correct response in the two groups were higher than those in the baseline and follow-up periods, but higher than those in the baseline period. The scores of WCST error response and continuous error were lower than those for the baseline and follow-up periods, but were more significant than the baseline score. There were significant differences in the scores of TMT-A,Stroop color,WCST completed classification number, correct response number and error response number within the two groups(P<0.05),while there were no significant differences in the scores of TMT-A,SCWT and WCST between the two groups at baseline,post-treatment and follow-up(P>0.05).5.There was no correlation between cognition and depression score(P>0.05).6.There were less adverse reactions and no serious adverse events occurred. Conclusions 1.High-frequency rTMS stimulation of left DLPFC and low-frequency rTMS stimulation of right DLPFC treatment of depression can not only relieve the patient's depressive symptoms, but also improve the cognitive function of the patient to some extent, and there is no significant difference between the two treatments.2.We found no correlation between changes in depression scores and changes in cognition.3.Transcranial magnetic stimulation for the treatment of depression patients is safer, less adverse reactions, can be used as a routine physical therapy for the treatment of depression. However, compared with high-frequency treatment,low-frequency treatment is more acceptable to patients and better tolerated.4.The long-term maintenance effect of high-frequency rTMS stimulation on left DLPFC and low-frequency rTMS stimulation on right DLPFC in the treatment of depression is still unclear, which need to explore further.
