Effect Of Wuling Capsule Combined With Health Education On Anxiety And Depression Of Patients With Globus Pharyngeus

Objective: To explore whether mental anxiety and depression are the causative factors of globus pharyngeus and the clinical efficacy and feasibility of Wuling Capsule combined with health education in the treatment of globus pharyngeus.Methods: 132 patients with globus pharyngeus who were treated in the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Clinic of a comprehensive top three hospital in Bengbu City,Anhui Province from May 2017 to April 2018,use Excel to generate random numbers,randomly divided into experimental group and control group.Detailed data collection was performed for all patients,including general information,past history,local signs of the throat,fiberoptic electronic nasopharyngoscopy,electrocardiogram,gastroscopy,and lateral cervical radiographs.The control group was treated with routine medical treatment and health education.The experimental group was treated with Wuling Capsule on the basis of the control group.The two groups of patients filled out the general information questionnaire,the State Trait Anxiety Questionnaire and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale at the time of treatment.Health education was given on the day of treatment,the second week and the third week,and the outpatient consultation one month later was conducted to evaluate the therapeutic effect of the two groups of patients,and the patients were asked to fill in the State Trait Anxiety Questionnaire and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale again.RESULTS: 1.The ratio of male to female sex is 1:1.81;the age is mostly concentrated in 31-55 years old;the youngest is 17 years old,the maximum is 70 years;the shortest course is 2 weeks,the longest is 20 years.2.52.27% of patients with globus pharyngeus showed moderate anxiety state,47.73% of patients with globus pharyngeus showed moderate depression;The state anxiety score and trait anxiety score of patients with globus pharyngeus were significantly higher than those of the national norm(P <0.01).The patients with globus pharyngeus had an anxiety personality basis before the illness and the anxiety state in the course of the disease was higher than that of the general population.3.The total effective rate of the control group was 62.12%,and the total effective rate of the experimental group was 89.39%.Adding Wuling Capsule on the basis of the control group can effectively improve the clinical treatment effect of patients with globus pharyngeus(P<0.01).4.After treatment,the state anxiety score,anxiety score and depression score of the experimental group were significantly lower than those before the intervention(P<0.01).The state anxiety scores of the control group were lower than before treatment(P<0.05)and the anxiety scores and depression scores were not significantly different from those before the intervention(P >0.05).After one month of treatment,the state anxiety score,anxiety score and depression score of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in anxiety trait scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.Middle-aged women are high-risk people with globus pharyngeus.2.Anxiety is closely related to the occurrence of globus pharyngeus,and patients have moderate anxiety and depression during the course of the disease.3.Wuling Capsule can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with globus pharyngeus and reduce the anxiety and depression of patients.4.For patients with globus pharyngeus,we must follow the concept of physical and mental treatment and individualized comprehensive treatment.
