Effects Of Ultrasound Guided Needle Knife Combined With Local Injection In The Treatment Of Third Lumbar Vertebral Transverse Process Syndrome

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of ultrasound(US)guided acupotomy combined with local injection in the treatment of third lumbar vertebral transverse process syndrome(TLVTPS),to explore the advantages of visual acupotomy combined with local injection therapy,to provide a more accurate and effective a new idea for TLVTPS in the future.Methods:The patients with TLVTPS were recruited from Hospital during October 2016 to January 2018.Including US group and control group,30 cases in each group were contain.In the US group,patients were evaluated by US,and then treated with acupotomy and local drug injection under US guidance;the control group was treated with anatomical positioning,traditional acupotomy acupuncture and local injection.1week and 4 weeks after treatment,Visual analogue scale(VAS),Chinese version of Oswestry disability index(CODI),Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)was evaluated and analyzed.Results:Sixty patients completed the study.There were no significant differences in gender,age,duration of disease,VAS score,CODI score,and JOA score between the two groups(P>0.05).The data were comparable.Both groups showed a significant reduction after treatment compared to baseline.the US-guided group improved more significantly than the control group at 1 and 4week,.The VAS score and CODI score were lower than the control group(P<0.05),and the JOA score was higher than the control group(P<0.05).In the US group,the effective rate could achieve 96.67%,the total effective rate was 86.67% on control group.After statistics analysis,it proved that the clinical efficacy of US group is better than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared to control group,US group showed superior results for painrelief.And Visualization of treatment becomes possibilities for more accurate and more personalized solutions,increased acupotomy and drug injection treatment safety and reliability.Thus,We recommend routine US examination as part of the management of back pain.
