Clinical Observation On The Post-Stoke Depression Patients Treated By Panlong Acupuncture Treatment

Objective:Based on the conventional treatment of cerebral apoplexy in neurology,this study conducted a randomized controlled clinical trial on the Post-Stoke Depression patients treated by Panlong acupuncture therapy and Deanxit.Which is not only to evaluate the clinical efficacy and security of Panlong needling therapy and its impact on Hamilton Depression Rating Scale and the serum level of 5-HT,but also analyze its correlation with the observation indexes,as well as to explore the antidepressant mechanism of Panlong needling therapy.Methods : A total of 60 patients with post-stroke depression were selected to be included in the clinical trial,which were randomly divided into treatment group and control group of 30 patients according to the digital random table.The treatment group was treated 6 weeks by Panlong needling therapy 5 times a week.The control group was treated 6 weeks by Deanxit which was taken orally every morning and afternoon.Before and 6 weeks after treatment,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)assessment,symptom score evaluation and serum 5-HT test were conducted separately in the two groups of patients,the results of which were discussed by statistics and analysis on SPSS25.0software.Results:1.There was no statistically significant difference in the general information of the two groups that including gender,age,HAMD depression scale score and TCM symptoms rating scale,which is statistically comparable.2.There were significant differences in HAMD scores and TCM syndrome score within the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.01).3.There were no significant differences in HAMD score and TCM syndrome score as well as 5-HT content between the two groups after 6 weeks of treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Panlong needling therapy can significantly improve the depressive symptoms in patients with PSD,which has the same benefits as the control group.Panlong needling therapy is a safe and effective method without obvious adverse reaction that is worth to be popularized in clinic to treat PSD.2.Panlong needling therapy can significantly reduce the score of Hamiltondepression scale(HAMD)and TCM depression scale,as well as significantly improve the level of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)in serum.3.Panlong needling therapy can not only significantly improve the depressive symptoms in patients,but also significantly better than Deanxit in improving the patients' sleep disorders,cognitive disorder,mental anxiety and sexual symptoms.
