Objectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of self-care self-efficacy,self-perceived burden and quality of life in patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy;analyze the main factors affecting quality of life in patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy;explore the relationship between self-care self-efficacy,self-perceived burden and quality of life in patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy;provide a theoretical basis for improving the quality of life of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy from the perspective of self-care self-efficacy and self-perceived burden. Methods:This study was a cross-sectional survey.225 patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy of two third-grade class-A general hospital in Nanchang City, from May,2018 to January,2019 were enrolled in this study by convenient sampling. The General Information Questionnaire, the Chinese version of the Strategies Used by People to Promote Health(C-SUPPH),the Self-perceived Burden Scale(SPBS)and the Quality of Life Instruments for Cancer Patients: Lung Cancer(QLICP-LU)were used to collect data. The statistical software of SPSS19.0 was used for descriptive statistics,independent-Samples T test, variance analysis,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple stepwise linear regression analysis.Results:1.The C-SUPPH score in patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy was(71.02±15.91).The SPBS score was(31.72±7.57).The QLICP-LU score was(140.37±19.04).2.Univariate analysis of variance showed that QLICP-LU score were significantly different in age, degree of education, current status of work, method of medical expenses payment, average monthly income of family, length of diagnosis, stage of disease, have an operation or not, frequency of chemotherapy, number ofadverse reactions to chemotherapy, primary caregiver, caregiver's age, number of chronic diseases and number of metastatic complications(P<0.05).3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the score of QLICP-LU,physical function, psychological function, social function and common symptoms/side effects in patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy were positively associated with C-SUPPH and all its dimensions(P<0.01),were negatively associated with SPBS and all its dimensions(P<0.01).The score of Special module for lung cancer was positively associated with self-decompression(P<0.05),positive attitude and C-SUPPH(P<0.01),was negatively associated with physical burden, emotional burden and SPB(P<0.05).4.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that self-decompression,financial burden, emotional burden, average monthly income of family, stage of disease, current status of work, positive attitude, time since diagnosis, method of medical expenses payment were the main influencing factors of QLICP-LU score of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy. The nine factors can explain 80.1% variance of the regression equation of quality of life.Conclusions:1.The self-care self-efficacy of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy was at a moderately low level. The self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy was at a moderately level. The quality of life of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy was not high.2.The self-care self-efficacy of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy was positively associated with their quality of life. The self-perceived burden of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy was negatively associated with their quality of life.3.The dimension of self-decompression and positive attitude(C-SUPPH),economic burden and emotional burden(SPBS),average monthly income of family, stage of disease, current status of work, time since diagnosis, method of medical expenses payment were the main influencing factors of QOL of patients with lung cancer under chemotherapy. We should pay more attention to it.
