BackgroundIntracranial tumor is a common tumor of the nervous system, itself and its treatment methods of intracranial tumors, whether surgical treatment,or postoperative adjuvant radiation and chemotherapy in the solution, not only brought great pain of the body to the patient, and severely influence the patient's mental health, while patients with postoperative physical rehabilitation and walking,self-reliance and other issues will bring greater psychological pressure to patients.Mindfulness decompression therapy is applied to pain and stress management in patients with various body diseases, such as cancer. At present, the application of this therapy in patients with intracranial tumor resection has not been reported. This study is to explore the mindfulness decompression therapy for patients with intracranial tumor resection and to study its intervention effect.ObjectivesTo investigate the effect of modified mindfulness based stress reduction therapy on mental status, sleeping quality, and mindfulness level after intracranial tumor resection.Methods120 cases of patients with intracranial tumor resection treated in our hospital from January 2015 to June 2016 were selected as study objects, and were divided into observation group(60 cases)and control group(60 cases)according to the random number method. The control group were given routine nursing interventions including health education, pain care, functional exercise, complication prevention, etc. The observation group based on the control group combined use of modified mindfulness based stress reduction training for 4 weeks after surgery. After intervention,we compared the Profile Of Mood States Short Form(POMS-SF),the Chinese Version Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),the Stress Response Questionnaire(SRQ),the Brief Fatigue Inventory(BFI)and Cancer Fatigue Scale(CFS),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Five Faced Mindfulness Questionnaire(FFMQ).Input case data, evaluation data into database, using SPSS 22.0 software to carry on the analysis, measurement data using(xis)said, the two groups before and after the intervention to compare using independent sample t-test,count data using frequency and percentage(%),comparing the two groups by chi-square test, the inspection and rank and inspection, the alpha was 0.05,P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results1.There was no significant difference in the Profile Of Mood States Short Form, the Chinese Version Perceived Stress Scale, the Stress Response Questionnaire,Brief Fatigue Inventory and Cancer Fatigue Scale.Self--rating Anxiety Scale,Self-rating Depression Scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Five Faced Mindfulness Questionnaire before intervention in both groups. The data in the two groups were comparable(P>0.05).2.After the intervention of the two groups, the scores of tension-anxiety.depression-depression,fatigue-retardation,anger-hostility,confusion-disorder were lower than those of the control group, while the scores of energy-activity were higher than those of the control group. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.After the intervention, the perceived pressure scale score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group and the pressure response scale score was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.After intervention, the fatigue level of the observation group was better than the control group, and the cancer fatigue scale was lower than that in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Both the anxiety self-rating scale and the depression self-rating scale scores of the two groups were lower than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.The scores of sleep quality, the amount of sleep, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders and daytime dysfunction of the two groups after intervention were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).7.After the intervention of the two groups, the"description","observation"and"conscious action"factor scores in the five-factor mindfulness awareness scale of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the "no judgment" and "no action"factor scores of the observation group were not significantly different from those of the control group. In comparison between the two groups, there were statistically significant differences in"description","observation","perceptive action"and total score in the five factors of mindfulness awareness in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusions1.Improved mindfulness decompression therapy can help to improve the negative psychological states of patients with intracranial tumor resection, such as tension-anxiety,depression-depression,etc.,improve the positive mental states of patients'energy-activity.2.Improved mindfulness decompression therapy can reduce the perception of pressure in patients with intracranial tumor resection, improve their response to pressure, and reduce their sense of stress and emotional loss to different degrees.3.Improved mindfulness decompression therapy can alleviate cancer-related fatigue in patients with intracranial tumor resection and reduce subjective fatigue and energy exhaustion.4.Improved mindfulness decompression therapy can alleviate patients'self-anxiety and depression mood state, and better control patients' negative emotions and changes in their self-behaviors.5.Improved mindfulness decompression therapy can improve sleep quality and improve sleep efficiency of patients with intracranial tumor resection.6.Improved mindfulness decompression therapy can improve the mindfulness level of patients with intracranial tumor resection, indicating that this method can be applied to patients with intracranial tumor.
