Clinical Observation Of Warming And Tonifying The Spleen And Kidney Therapy On Colorectal Cancer-related Fatigue During The Chemotherapy Period

Research objectives:To observe the effect of using tonifying the spleen and kidney to cure cancer related fatigue of carcinoma of the rectum during the period of chemotherapy,discuss the mechanism of curing cancer related fatigue,and develop the advantages of using traditional Chines medicine to cure cancer related fatigue of lung cancer.Research methods:50 inpatients who conformed to inclusion criteria from oncology department of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and were divided into the control group and treatment group at the ratio of 1:1.Chemotherapy and symptomatic treatment were used to patients in the control group,while patients in the treatment group were treated with tonifying the spleen and kidney(Astragalus Jianzhong soup+kidney-qi-tonifying pill)on the basis of chemotherapy and symptomatic treatment through oral administration.The observational period was 42 days.TCM syndrome integral,Piper fatigue scale,KPS,immunity indexes(CD3,CD4 and CD8),and inflammatory factors(IL-6,IL-8 and CRP)in both groups before and after treatment referred to curative observation indexes,while blood routine examination and hepatorenal function referred to safety observation indexes.The clinical curative effect of tonifying the spleen and kidney was observed.Their mechanism of action was discussed.Results:Before treatment,baseline data in both groups had no statistical difference.After treatment,Piper,conduct fatigue dimension,emotional fatigue dimension and body fatigue dimension in the treatment group were significantly reduced(P<0.05).After treatment,Piper and each dimension in the control group had no obvious change(P>0.05).After treatment,TCM syndrome integral in the treatment group was significantly reduced(P<0.05).The control group had no significant chance by comparing with the results before treatment(P>0.05).TCM syndrome integral in the treatment group after treatment was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,CD3,CD4,CD4/CD8 in the treatment group were significantly increasing.There was the significant difference(P<0.05);In the control group,CD3,CD4,CD8 and CD4/CD8 had no statistical difference with the results before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,CD3,CD4 and CD4/CD8 in the treatment group were significantly higher than the control group.Inflammatory mediator results showed that baseline IL-6,IL-8 and CRP in the treatment group and control group had no statistical difference(P>0.05).After treatment,IL-6,IL-8 and CRP in the treatment group were significantly reduced,there was the statistical difference(P<0.05).In the control group,IL-6,IL-8 and CRP had no statistical difference by comparing with results before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,IL-6,IL-8 and CRP in the treatment group were significantly reduced.There was the statistical difference(P<0.05).IL-6,IL-8 and CRP in the control group had no statistical difference with the results before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,IL-6,IL-8 and CRP in the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,KPS in the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Tonifying the spleen and kidney can improve fatigue of paitents with colorectal cancer during the period of chemotherapy,improve tumor patients',quality of life,enhance TCM syndrome of patients,and show the role of regulating patients',immunity and restraining inflammatory factors.
