Objective This study aims to know health literacy levels and influencing factors about the cancer prevention and treatment among residents in Nanning Guangxi,and the status of health literacy on liver cancer prevention and treatment and its' associated factors in Guangxi population with high risk for liver cancer,and provide scientific basis for developing health policies and improving cancer prevention and control level among residents in the further.Methods(1)A questionnaire survey was conducted among 3,908 urban residents in Guangxi randomly selected from a multi-stage stratified cluster,using the resident cancer prevention and health literacy questionnaire.To understand the basic situation,prevention awareness,"three early" awareness(early detection,early diagnosis and early treatment),knowledge needs and approaches of tumor prevention and treatment of the respondents.(2)From Guangxi City Cancer Early Diagnosis and Treatment Project screening were judged to be "residents of liver cancer high-risk",with stratified cluster random sampling from 949 people,on the basis of whether to participate in liver cancer screening can be divided into screening and the screening group,livercancer high-risk group includes cancer prevention knowledge questionnaire,understand the basic situation investigation object,comprehensive prevention and control knowledge,knowledge of prevention and cure of liver cancer,cancer screening adherence and cancer prevention knowledge needs and ways in five aspects.Results(1)The health literacy of urban residents in Guangxi in tumor prevention and treatment was 7.5%,and the two dimensions were respectively57.2% awareness of prevention and 17.0% awareness of "three early ".Gender,age,education level,occupation,family income and residents' tumor health literacy level were correlated(P < 0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that gender,age and occupation were influencing factors of cancer prevention and health literacy of urban residents in Guangxi(P < 0.05).(2)The health literacy level of liver cancer prevention and treatment in high risk population of liver cancer in Guangxi was 13.6%.Ethnic,education level,working status,occupation,family income,type of medical insurance,health status and family history of cancer were correlated with the level of health literacy in the prevention and treatment of liver cancer in high-risk groups of liver cancer(P < 0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that education level and whether or not to participate in screening were the influencing factors of health literacy in the prevention and treatment of liver cancer.(3)There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of gender,working status,occupation,family income and type of medical insurance between the screening group and the non-screening group(P <0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis: gender and household income were influencing factors for screening behavior(P < 0.05).(4)Comparison of the scores of the health literacy between the screening group and the non-screening group: The health literacy scores of liver cancer prevention and treatment in the screening group(16.66 ± 3.56)were higher than those in the non-screening group(16.04 ± 3.56),and the difference was statistically significant(t = 2.671,P = 0.008).The scores of liver cancer screening compliance in the screening group(5.43 ± 2.14)was also higher than that in the non-screening group(4.78 ± 2.29),and the difference was statistically significant(t = 4.469,P < 0.001).There was no significant difference in the knowledge of liver cancer prevention and treatment and knowledge of cancer comprehensive prevention and treatment(P > 0.05).Conclusions(1)The health literacy level of tumor prevention and treatment for urban residents in Guangxi is 7.5%,which is at a low level.Gender,occupation and family income are influencing factors of cancer prevention and treatment health literacy level.(2)The health literacy level of liver cancer prevention and treatment in high-risk group was 13.6%,which was also at a low level.Education level and whether or not to participate in screening are the influencing factors of health literacy in the prevention and treatment of liver cancer.(3)The health literacy level of residents participating in liver cancer screening was higher than that the unscreened group.Gender,education level,working status,occupation,type of medical insurance,health status and family history of cancer were the main factors affecting the compliance of liver cancer screening.
