In the context of the continuous decline in the level of public trust in expert systems, especially doctors, there is a clear crisis of trust between doctors and patients. This paper focuses on the interaction process between doctors and the public(patients),based on the rational cognitive model, and introduces the irrational cognitive theory of behavioral economics into the formation process of patients' trust in doctors. The generation and development of trust is a psychological process and is reflected through specific behavioral decisions. The particularity of the medical and health field often makes it difficult for patients with information weakness to maintain rational decision-making.Therefore,in addition to the traditional economic theories assumed by rational people, the theory of behavioral economics, which has been developed and deepened in recent years, has considerable reference significance. In particular, the interpretation of people's irrational behavior in behavioral economics is more applicable to the doctor-patient interaction scene. Therefore, this paper will study the formation and development mechanism of public trust in doctors' roles from the perspective of rationality and irrationality. This paper proposes 10 research hypotheses by theoretically analyzing the formation mechanism of doctors' role trust.Through 4 situational experiments,a total of 1219 questionnaires were collected, and the hypotheses were empirically tested based on the experimental data. The study found that:(1)trust in the doctor's ability is not related to the doctor's or patient's motivation, and the trust in the doctor's ability depends mainly on the doctor's medical skill level.(2)No matter what motivation the patient holds,it will not affect his trust in the integrity of the doctor. The perception of the doctor's motivation will affect the trust of the doctor's integrity. The more positive the doctor's motivation is,the more the doctor's role trust. The higher.(3)When the patient is pursuing self-verification motivation,if the doctor's conclusion is inconsistent with the patient's expectation, the patient will question the doctor's professional ability, but the doctor's goodwill and integrity trust will not be damaged.(4)Relative to the interrogation framework,in the framework of the debate, patients question the goodwill dimension of the doctor's role trust.(5)As the level of confidence in the doctor increases, the patient's trust in the doctor's ability, goodwill and integrity will increase.(6)The stronger the representative bias of the event, the greater the positive effect of positive events on the trust of doctors. On the contrary, the higher the damage of negative events to the trust of experts.(7)The vulnerability of information is not significantly related to the ability of doctors to trust and integrity;negative attribution has no significant relationship with the ability of doctors to trust and integrity. As an important part of the expert system, doctors explore the formation and development process of doctors' role-based trust. They can deepen our understanding of the status of doctors and patients' trust, and find the roots of the current low level of public trust in doctors. It can help achieve good doctor-patient interaction and mutual trust, optimize medical decision-making,save medical resources, and maximize the utility of medical services. It provides useful ideas for how to effectively improve the credibility of doctors, ease the contradiction between doctors and patients, and build a harmonious relationship between doctors and patients. It will also help realize the expert system such as doctors to maximize their role and status in the modern risk society, help the public to make better risk decisions and improve social utility.
