1 ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of acupotomy combined with acupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, and to explore whether there is difference between acupotomy combined with acupuncture and acupuncture in relieving lumbago and leg pain and improving lumbar function.2 MethodsFollowing the inclusion criteria of this study,60 hospitalized patients in our department from February 2018 to December 2018 were selected.60 cases were divided into two groups —treatment and control group(with 30 and 30 cases respectively),depending on the table of random number. The treatment group was treated with acupotomy combined with acupuncture, while the control group was treated with acupuncture.Acupuncture once a day for two weeks, acupotomy once a week, acupotomy treatment day no acupuncture treatment,a total of two times. At the end of treatment and 1 month after follow-up,the changes of VAS and JOA scores were compared between the two groups after?1 month after follow up.According to the criteria for the diagnosis of TCM diseases and syndromes and JOA Scale was used to evaluate the clinical effect of the two groups after treatment.3 ResultsComparison of VAS score:Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01)after the end of the treatment course, and compared with the group before and after treatment,P<0.05.After 1 month of follow-up,comparisons of VAS score between treatment group and control group,P>0.05.Comparison of JOA score:Statistical analysis showed that there was difference between the two groups(P<0.05)after the end of the treatment course, and compared with the group before and after treatment,P<0.05.After 1 month of follow-up,comparisons of JOA score between treatment group and control group,P<0.05.Comparison of clinical efficacy:The two treatment methods can achieve better clinical effect. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.67% better than that of the control group,83.33%(P<0.05).4 ConclusionAcupotomy combined with acupuncture has a significant clinical effect on lumbar disc herniation compared with acupuncture. It is superior to acupuncture in relieving lumbago and leg pain and improving lumbar function in the near future, and the long-term effect of acupotomy combined with acupuncture on improving lumbar function is more significant than that of acupuncture.
