Purpose:CBCT and Invivo 5.3 measurement software were used to measure and analyze the alveolar bone morphology of maxillary canine region in adult patients with Angle ?~1 and Angle ?~2 malocclusion at low face type, providing theoretical reference for orthodontic clinical tooth movementMethod:From September 2016 to December 2018,96 patients aged between 18 and 35with Class ? malocclusion were selected and diagnosed in the orthodontic Department of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanchang University.First, according to the lateral cephalometric films taken by the patients,Winceph 8.0software was used for measurement.According to FMA angle(orbital-auricular plane-mandibular plane angle),low angle patients with FMA angle less than 22degrees were screened out.Secondly, according to the relationship between molars and anterior teeth coverage, they were divided into two groups:the Angle ? group(55 cases),theAngle ? group(41 cases). The CBCT data of the selected patients were measured by Invivo 5.3 measurement software.Measurements included:the relationship between the tooth and the skull(the angle between the dental axis and the bone cortex, the angle between the dental axis and the palatal bone cortex). The thickness of alveolar bone(horizontal distance between buccal alveolar cortex and apex, horizontal distance between palatal cortex and apex, horizontal distance between buccal and palatal cortex).Alveolar bone height(vertical distance between buccal alveolar bone and apex, vertical distance between palatal alveolar bone and apex, vertical distance between resistance center and apex),The range of tooth movement(buccal rotation angle, buccal rotation distance, palatal rotation angle, palatal rotation distance). Each measurement item is measured three times, concentrated in a period of time, and then the average value is taken. The measured data were input into SPSS20.0 software, and the data of maxillary canines on the left and right sides of the group were processed by paired t-test.The differences between the left and right canines in the group were compared. If there were differences between the left and right canines, the independent sample t-test or rank sum test were used for the data processing of canine measurement between the groups. If there is no difference in quantitative data, the left and right data are merged and processed for inter-group analysis.Results:1.There was no statistical significance in the measurements of left and right canines in Angle ?1 group and Angle ? 2group(P>0.05).2.There were no significant differences in the measurement data of buccal cortical angle, buccal alveolar height at apex level, distance from resistance center to apex, buccal rotation angle and buccal rotation distance between left maxillary canine group and Angle class ? group, right maxillary canine group and Angle class ? group(P>0.05).3.The distances of the buccal cortex and the height of the palatal alveolar bone of the maxillary canine apex in the adult short face type Angle ?~1 group were higher than those in Angle ?~2 group.4.The angle of palatal cortex, the distance of apical horizontal palatal cortex, the thickness of apical total alveolar bone, the angle of apical horizontal palatal rotation, the angle of apical horizontal total rotation, the distance of apical horizontal palatal rotation and the distance of apical horizontal total rotation in the adult short face type Angle ?~2 group were larger than those in Angle ?~1 group.Conclusions:1.The alveolar bone morphology of maxillary canine region in adults with shore face type Angle ?~1 malocclusion and Angle ?~2 malocclusion is different.2.The alveolar bone morphology of maxillary canine region in adults with short face typeAngle ?~1 malocclusion and Angle ?~2 malocclusion was compared with that of buccal side and palatal side, and the difference of palatal morphology was greater than buccal morphology.
