Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Senile Type 2 Diabetic Osteoporosis By Nourishing Liver And Kidney And Detoxifying And Activating Collaterals

Objective: Based on the theory of "guluo",combined with the etiology of DM and bone impotence,the efficacy and safety of type 2 DOP(liver and kidney Yin deficiency,toxic bone collateral damage syndrome)in the treatment of the elderly were evaluated by means of nourishing liver and kidney and detoxifying and activating collaterals,so as to provide clinical basis for further improving the clinical efficacy of type 2 DOP in the treatment of the elderly.Methods:72 eligible cases were enrolled in a randomized,controlled and prospective clinical trial,and were divided into two groups on average.In the basic treatment of strictly controlling sugar and supplementing calcium,the treatment group was given Liuwei Dihuang Decoction orally,while the control group was given Xianlinggubao Capsule orally.Three months as a course of treatment,a total of two courses.TCM symptoms,BMD,bone metabolism index,FPG,HbA1 c,VAS score and quality of life(SF-36 scale)were used as evaluation indicators,and routine blood and urine test,liver and kidney function and electrocardiogram were used as safety indicators.All indicators were examined before and after treatment.Results:(1)In the treatment of senile type 2 DOP(liver and kidney Yin deficiency,toxin damage bone collaterals syndrome),the total effective rate of the treatment group was93.33%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 70.00%,the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(2)Both the treatment group and the control group can improve bone metabolism,and the treatment group is better than the control group.(3)Only the treatment group had an optimal effect on FPG and HbA1 c.(4)Both the treatment group and the control group can effectively improve the VAS score and the quality of life(SF-36 scale)score,and the treatment group is significantly better than the control group.(5)Because of the short course of treatment,neither group could effectively reduce BMD.Conclusion: The method of nourishing liver and kidney,detoxifying and dredging collaterals is safe and effective in the treatment of senile type 2 DOP(liver and kidney Yin deficiency,toxic bone collaterals syndrome)in improving TCM symptoms,affecting bone metabolism indexes,optimizing blood glucose,and improving life quality.
