Objective: To detect the expression of mi R-1290 in cancer tissues, paracancerous tissues and plasma of gastric cancer patients, compare the expression differences in cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues. To explore the clinical significance of mi R-1290 in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, and to evaluate its possibility as a new biomarker for the diagnosis of gastric cancer. Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 84 patients with gastric cancer who underwent surgery in Anhui Provincial Hospital from October 2017 to June 2018 were collected. The gastric cancer tissues, paracancerous tissues and peripheral blood plasma samples were collected. All patients were diagnosed by gastroscopy and pathological biopsy and were not treated with radiotherapy, chemotherapy or other drugs before surgery. At the same time,29 healthy controls plasmas with similar age and gender were collected. The expression levels of mi R-1290 in tissues and plasma were measured, and the expression levels of mi R-1290 in cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues were compared. The relationship between plasma mi R-1290 expression and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. The clinical value of plasma mi R-1290 as a biomarker in the diagnosis of gastric cancer was evaluated using the receiver operating curve. Results:The expression level of Mi R-1290 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(4.38±2.13 vs 0.98±0.56),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The expression level of mi R-1290 in gastric cancer tissues was not correlated with age and gender, but was significantly correlated with tumor size, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage. The expression of plasma mi R-1290 was significantly higher in gastric cancer patients than in healthy controls(6.44±2.59 vs 3.44 ± 1.75),the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001).The expression level of mi R-1290 in plasma of patients with gastric cancer was not correlated with age and gender, but was significantly correlated with tumor size, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, and TNM stage. The ROC curve showed that mi R-1290 had a predictive effect on the occurrence of gastric cancer. The optimal cutoff value was 3.5.The sensitivity was 86.9% and the specificity was 65.5%.Conclusion:Mi R-1290 is up-regulated in cancer tissues and plasma of gastric cancer patients, and its expression level is closely related to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, and it is expected to become an indicator for the diagnosis of gastric cancer.
