The Infection Status Of HIV,HCV And TP And Analysis On Knowledge,Attitude And Practice Among Female Sex Workers In Dali City

ObjectiveTo understand HIV,HCV and TP infection status and influencing factors among female sex workers in Dali City,to understand the knowledge,attitude and behavioral characteristics of AIDS and STD among female sex workers,and to analyze their related factors,so as to provide theoretical basis for formulating propaganda,education and effective comprehensive intervention measures for AIDS and STD prevention among female sex workers in Dali City.MethodsAccording to "Yunnan AIDS sentinel surveillance program(2018 edition)",400 female sex workers in different types of entertainment venues in Dali City were selected by probability sampling and snowball method from April to June 2018.An anonymous health questionnaire survey was conducted.Blood samples of the respondents were taken according to the number of the questionnaire for HIV,HCV and TP antibody detection.Results1.The average age of female sex workers was 31.59±10.10 years old,the average age of C layer was 42.00±8.65 years old,the average age of B layer was 28.88±7.49 years old,and the average age of A layer was 24.30±4.58 years old in this survey.Among them 72.7% for ethnic minorities,55.0% for unmarried people,62.3% for low-education,in which 55.0% for junior high school and below.female sex workers are highly mobile,55.3% of them work less than one year locally and 28.5% work less than one month locally.The household registration is mainly in the province,accounting for 67.8%,and others were mainly Sichuan,Chongqing,Guizhou,etc.2.The HIV positive rate was 1.0%(4/400),HCV positive rate was 1.5%(6/400)and TP positive rate was 2.5%(10/400)among female sex workers in this survey.One case of TP positive combined with hepatitis C positive was HIV,HCV and TP positive,all of them came from C layer.Multivariate analysis showed that older age was a risk factor for TP infection among female sex workers.3.The awareness rate of AIDS knowledge and syphilis knowledge among female sex workers was 82.5% and 74.0% respectively.There are still some misunderstandings about AIDS and syphilis among female sex workers in Dali.The results of multivariate analysis showed that the level of female sex workers in Dali City was the influencing factor of knowledge about AIDS and syphilis among the population.4.In this survey,the condom use rate of female sex workers in the last commercial sexual intercourse was 97.5%,and that of female sex workers in the last month was 95.5%.Multivariate analysis showed that knowledge of AIDS and HIV testing in the past year were the factors that promoted condom use in female sex workers.ConclusionsFemale sex workers in Dali City have low educational level,high mobility and high proportion of unmarried people.There are HIV,HCV and TP positive women engaged in commercial sex services and the infection rate is high.There are differences in knowledge about AIDS and syphilis among female sex workers at different levels,and there are unsafe sexual behavior factors.It is suggested that the coverage of HIV,HCV and syphilis surveillance among female sex workers should be expanded in the future,intervention resources should be allocated in a balanced and reasonable manner,the improvement of AIDS and STD control should be taken as the basis of AIDS prevention and control,and HIV,HCV and syphilis-positive individuals should be firmly curbed from continuing to engage in commercial sexual services.
