Nowadays,with the rapid changes in society and the tremendous changes in people's lifestyles,the number of chronic diseases in China's population has increased year by year.Depression and anxiety are common negative emotions in elderly patients with chronic diseases,and the psychological pain caused by them is not only physical diseases.In recent years,although the psychological problems of depression and anxiety have become increasingly prominent in the elderly,due to discrimination and prejudice against mental illness,there is a general lack of understanding of depression and anxiety.Elderly patients with chronic diseases usually have strong physical,psychological and social needs.As medical social work is in the stage of gradual development,social workers should adhere to the professional philosophy of“helping others and helping themselves”,and all the core ideas of patient-centered,together with medical staff,can help practical and effective help.There are people in the hospital who need it.In the face of the rising trend of chronic diseases and the accompanying emotional problems,it is necessary to accelerate the practical development and academic research in the field of medical social work.Taking the Geriatrics Department of the J Hospital of C City as an example,the main purpose of this study is to alleviate the anxiety of elderly patients with chronic diseases.From the perspective of horticultural treatment,based on the questionnaire survey,Relf's load and wake-up theory is used to support the group work,and the group works are designed with the help of psychological evolution theory and cultural learning theory.Enter the study.Activities were carried out around Relf's improved horticultural treatment model as a theoretical framework,and intervention effects were gradually implemented.The focus of this study was on the feasibility and effectiveness of horticultural therapy in relieving anxiety in elderly patients withchronic diseases.At the end of the study,we hope to help patients alleviate their psychological and social difficulties,thereby increasing their overall resistance to the disease and enhancing their overall self-confidence in the face of the disease.We can use the new horticultural therapy theory and method in occupational entertainment therapy to introduce it into the social work of patients with chronic diseases,and intervene in combination with professional horticultural therapy.In order to expand the professional theoretical horizons of medical social work,to promote its development to a certain extent,to innovate the intervention methods and visions of medical social work,it is helpful to improve the understanding,identification and feasibility of social work,and promote the development of medical social work.Social work in China has finally achieved the effect of promoting the establishment and improvement of modern medical models and the concept of whole-person health.
