ObjectiveIt was aim at comparing that combine western medicine with wumei pill plus or minus and pure western medicine to treat the chronic cough of wind-induced myoclonic. The evaluation was based on cough symptom score,TCM syndrome score, leicester cough questionnaire(LCQ),and that common cold of the three month period and the recurrence of chronic cough. It was preliminary discussions about the advantages of wumei pills to reduce the chronic cough in the treatment of the wind, and provides a new thinking and direction for the treatment of chronic cough in Chinese medicineMethodWe were take a prospective random-control small sample clinical study.According to the inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria,we selected 60 patients, and then generated a random number in the Excel spreadsheet.By random Numbers of Numbers,60 patients were randomly divided into treatment groups and control groups,30 of each group. The control group were treated with oral compound methoxamine according to experience, and the treatment group were treated with wumei pill plus or minus and compound methoxamine. The treatment was for two weeks. Before treatment and after treatment,we were calculated the scores of daytime and nighttime cough symptoms,TCM syndromes and leicester cough questionnaire(LCQ).Patients were followed up for three months to observe the number of colds and chronic cough recurrence. All the data was analyzed with SPSS 22.0.Result1.According to statistical analysis, there was no statistical difference in gender, age, cough symptom score,TCM syndrome score and LCQ score between the two groups.2.In terms of nighttime cough symptom score, two groups showed P<0.05 before and after treatment, while the treatment group had lower scores than the control group, and compared with P<0.05 after treatment. It indicates that both treatment methods were effective in treating nighttime cough, but the treatment effect of Chinese and western medicine was more significant. In terms of daytime cough, both groups had P<0.05 before and after treatment, but the scores of the two groups were compared to P>0.05 after treatment. In other words, both treatments had similar effects in treating daytime cough. In the case of cough, phlegm, itching, and gas,two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the scores in treatment group was lower than the control group, which means both treatments were effective, and the treatment group had better results.Comparing before and after treatment, the control group showed no statistical significance(P>0.05),but the treatment group showed a significant difference(P<0.05),in the two cases of cold in the following-up three months and dry stool.Indicating that only western medicine had no significant effect on dry stool and cold.3.In the case of main disease(cough),the number of qualified voters is 26 in treatment group. The effective rate is 86.67%.The control group is 22,and the recovery rate is 73.33%.Two group showed a significant difference(P<0.05).In terms of secondary symptoms, there were 6 cases were cured,12 cases were markedly effective,9 cases were effected,3 had no effect in treatment group,it's total effective rate was 90%,while there were 3 cases were cured,4 cases were markedly effective,12 cases were effected,11 cases had no effect in control group,it's total effective rate was 63.33%.These total effectiveness were statistical significance(P<0.05).The treatment group were superior to the control group in significantly relieve cough and relieve minor symptoms.4.In the three areas of physiological, psychological and social grading of LCQ,both groups showed statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.05).Comparing with the control group, the treatment group showed statistically significant in both physiological and psychological areas and it's scores were all lower than those of the control group. In the social area, there was no statistically significant between two groups. It showed that the two treatment methods have positive effects on patients'physiology, psychology and society. The combined treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine had a better effect on patients' physiology and psychology than that of western medicine alone, while the two treatment methods had similar effects on society.Conclusion1.Combined treatment with wumei pill plus or minus combined and compound methoxylamine combined with oral compound methoxylamine alone has certain curative effect on treating wind-sheng chronic cough. The Chinese and western medicine treatment can improve the apparent efficiency better than the western medicine treatment alone.2.In the treatment of this disease, the wumei pill combined with the combination of moxifloxacin can not only significantly relieve the symptoms of cough, but also relieve the minor symptoms such as sputum, itchy pharynx, shortness of breath and dry stool.3.Compared with the control group, the treatment group was more effective in reducing nighttime cough symptoms.4.The combination of traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine has more significant curative effect and more comprehensive effect. It has a greater positive impact on patients' physical and mental health than the treatment of western medicine alone, which is conducive to improving the quality of life.
