Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Yinqi Jiedu decoction in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy of children with wind-heat accumulation syndrome, and to provide evidence for the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy based on Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome differentiation.Methods:Sixty-four children with adenoid hypertrophy syndrome of wind-heat accumulation were included and divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table. The treatment group was given self-designed Yinqi Jiedu decoction orally, while the control group was treated with Mometasone Furoate Aqueous Nasal Spray and Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets. The course of treatment was 4 weeks, followed up for 1 month after drug withdrawal. The scores of clinical syndromes, adenoid volume and quality of life questionnaire(OSA-18)before medication,4 weeks after treatment and 1 month after withdrawal were recorded. The SPSS statistical analysis soft.^ware was used for statistical analysis of the obtained data. Objective to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yinqi Jiedu decoction,Mometasone Furoate Aqueous Nasal Spray combined with Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets in the treatment of wind-heat accumulation syndrome of adenoid hypertrophy by comparing the change of scores between the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment. Results:Of the 64 patients selected,4(excluded and exfoliated)were not included in the final study.A total of 60 cases were included in the final study,30 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group.1.The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were respectively 90.00%and 76.67%,with no statistical difference(P>0.05),indicating that the comprehensive efficacy of the two groups was similar. The significant efficiency of the treatment group was 53.33%and the significant efficiency of the control group was 26.67%,with P<0.05,which was statistically significant.2.Self-comparison before and after treatment:the main symptoms, secondary symptoms,A/N ratio,OSA-18 questionnaire score were significantly decreased in the treatment group after 4 weeks of treatment and 1 month after drug withdrawal compared with before treatment(P<0.01).In the control group, except the single point of mouth breathing was not significantly improved, other points were also significantly decreased(P<0.01).3.Comparison between groups:in terms of main symptoms, the comparison of snoring and mouth breathing score between the two groups after 4 weeks of treatment and 1 month after drug withdrawal showed statistical difference(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group. There was no significant difference in nasal obstruction score between the two groups(P>0.05).The improvement of secondary symptoms,A/N ratio and OSA-18 questionnaire score in the two groups after 4 weeks of treatment and 1 month after drug withdrawal was compared(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group. Conclusions:Yinqi Jiedu decoction and Mometasone Furoate Aqueous Nasal Spray combined with Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets in treating the adenoid hypertrophy belongs to wind-heat accumulation syndrome are both effective in improving the symptom of nasal obstruction. However,Yinqi Jiedu decoction in improving snoring, mouth breathing, quality of life and reducing the volume of adenoids,is superior to Mometasone Furoate Aqueous Nasal Spray and Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets, and is worthy to be popularized in clinic.
