Investigation And Analysis Of TCM Nursing Technologies Clinical Application In Diabetes In Zhejiang Province

Objective To acquire and study Zhejiang province above second-grade class-A Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing techniques and clinical application for diabetes patients,including diabetic disease,TCM nursing operation techniques,the application frequency of TCM nursing operation techniques,the factors affecting the use of TCM nursing operation techniques.Aim to provide theory evidence for application and popularization of TCM nursing technology.in diabetes in Zhejiang province hospitals,to promote the development of TCM nursing technology in diabetes.Methods The study mainly for questionnaire survey.There are two parts:one is a questionnaire on the application of TCM nursing techniques in the clinical care of diabetes patients in Zhejiang province;the other is a questionnaire on influence factors for the application of TCM nursing techniques in the diabetic clinical care.The Cronbach's of the two parts are 0.817 and 0.769 respectively.By purpose sampling and cluster sampling method,a questionnaire survey was conducted in 27 TCM hospitals and 35 general hospitals above second-grade class-A in Zhejiang province.All the data is put into the software SPSS 18.0 for statistical analysis,including composition ratio,median,frequency analysis and so on.Results ?27 TCM hospitals were investigated,including 9 third-grade class-A hospitals,5 third-grade class-B hospitals and 13 second-grade class-A hospitals.The TCM nursing techniques for diabetes were carried out in all the hospitals except one second-grade class-A hospital.There were already 15 kinds of diabetic complications or symptoms which were conducted TCM nursing techniques.?There were 20 TCM nursing techniques used in TCM hospitals in Zhejiang Province.It conducted many TCM techniques in distal symmetrical polyneuropathy,gastroparesis,constipation and insomnia.? Some of the TCM nursing techniques were carried out more than others in TCM hospitals in recent month,which were auricular sticking therapy,Chinese medicine acupoint sticking,herb soaking,moxibustion,and acupoint massage.? Nurses in TCM hospitals in Zhejiang province considered the top 5factors affecting the application of TCM nursing techniques in diabetic clinical care were:equipment and facilities for TCM nursing techniques,the acceptance and knowledge for the techniques from the director in the department,the operation standards of TCM techniques,incentive and evaluation systems to promote the application of TCM nursing techniques,application scope and evaluation criteria of TCM nursing techniques.?There were 7 among 35 Zhejiang province general hospitals where TCM nursing techniques were carried out.It conducted many TCM techniques in insomnia,distal symmetrical polyneuropathy andconstipation.?Some of the TCM nursing techniques were carried out more than others in general hospitals in recent month,which were Chinese medicine acupoint sticking and auricular sticking therapy.?Nurses in general hospitals in Zhejiang province considered the top 5 factors affecting the application of TCM nursing techniques in diabetic clinical care were:national planning and guidelines to promote the techniques application in general hospitals,effective legal document about TCM nursing techniques,human resource,the acceptance and knowledge for the techniques from the director in the department,patients belief in the effectiveness of the TCM nursing techniques.Conclusion c? Most TCM nursing techniques were utilized in TCM hospitals,there were already 15 kinds of diabetic complications or symptoms which were conducted TCM nursing techniques.In TCM hospitals,nurses conducted more techniques in some complications or symptoms,such as insomnia,constipation.But there were not so much TCM techniques conducted in relatively specific diseases of diabete,such as ocular fundus pathology and kidney disease.There was more than one TCM nursing techniques for each complication or symptom,so nurses should implement the best TCM nursing scheme for patients according to the dialectical nursing concept.There were several techniques conducted more frequent than others,which were auricular sticking therapy,Chinese medicine acupoint sticking,ierb soaking,moxibustion,and acupoint massage.because they were more simply operated,more widely used,with less adverse reaction.?The prospect of TCM nursing technology in diabetes clinical care in general hospitals was good.National policy,regulations and laws are important factors influencing the technology's application.and so were nursing human resources,medical cooperation between nurses and doctors and patients' attitude.?There were still a large space for the development of TCM nursing technology for diabetes in TCM hospitals.The important elements affecting the application were equipment and facilities for TCM nursing techniques,the acceptance and knowledge for the techniques from the director in the department,the operation standards of TCM techniques,incentive and evaluation systems to promote the application of TCM nursing techniques,application scope and evaluation criteria of TCM nursing techniques.
