Objective From the perspective of the patient's understanding and evaluation of nursing students' caring behavior status quo,combining self-evaluation of nursing students,this research intends to explore the education effect and model of nursing students' caring behavior,and offer reference for training nursing students caring feelings and behaviors.Methods The CBM(Caring Behavior Measurement) basic items developed by Taiwan scholars Jane Lee-Hsieh is used in the questionnaire,additions and deletions is carried according to the Chinese cultural background.Questionnaire on general information and influencing factors are made by researcher.100 nursing students practiced in clinic and 104 patients cared by them are selected for the research.Data processing made using Nonparametric Test,T test,F test,one-Way ANOVA and multiple stepwise regression analysis done by SPSS Software,respectively.Results①The nursing students caring behavior scoring on average of 3.7384±0.6278.The scores of sincere,compassion and respect dimension is 3.9643±0.5637, and professional caring behavior dimension is 3.4673±0.7471.A significant difference of the score existed between the two dimensions(P = 0.00).In the first 10 items of patients' evaluation and self-evaluation of nursing students,there are 8 and 6 items belong to the sincere,compassion and respect dimension respectively.In the last 10 items of patients' evaluation and self-evaluation of nursing students,there are 9 and 6 items belong to the professional caring behavior dimension respectively.②The evaluation difference in different ages,occupations and gender patients has no statistical significant.③A significant difference existed among different degrees education of patients on nursing students' professional caring behavior(P = 0.012).Scores given by under secondary school level patients higher than that of junior college(P=0.012 ) and bachelor level patients.④Nursing students self-evaluation scores in all dimensions are higher than patients.⑤A significant difference lie in nursing students with different age,gender and degree of education.⑥Multiple regression analysis showed that clinical learning environment(β=0.417,P<0.00)and personal professional attitude(β=0.321,P<0.00) are main influence factors of practice nursing students' caring behavior.Conclusion Nursing students' caring behavior has yet to be improved;the nursing teachers in medical college and hospital should improve nursing students' clinical learning environment and strengthen training nursing students' personal professional attitude and developing the caring ability of nursing students.In the process of education, teachers should pay attention to form nursing students' caring thinking.
