Objective:To provide reference for clinical follow-up to formulate appropriate nursing measures and reduce the relocation stress level of patients’ families, this study investigated the current situation of social support, coping style and relocation stress of ICU patients’ family members;compared the differences in general demographic characteristics of social support, coping style and relocation stress of ICU patients’ family members;analyzed the relationship among social support, coping style and relocation stress of ICU patients’ family members, clarified the influence of social support and coping style on relocation stress. Methods:In this study,a convenient sampling method was used to extract the families of patients who were about to be transferred out from the ICU wards of Grade A class 3 hospital in Yanji.A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed and the effective questionnaires were 289,with an effective rate was 96.30%.In the questionnaire survey, the self-made general condition questionnaire,Social Support Rated Scale(SSRS)by Xiao Shuiyuan,Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)by Xie Yaning, and ICU stress assessment scale compiled by Sun Shunxia were adopted. After the questionnaires was retrieved, the data were sorted by Excel, and then processed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software for data analysis. The statistical methods used were statistical description,t-test,ANOVA analysis,non-parametric test,Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and so on.Results:(1)The total score of social support for 289 ICU transferred patients’ family members was ranged from 12 to 66 points, and the mean score was(37.92±0.62 points). The social support level was at the medium level. The scoring ranges and mean values of the three dimensions were:subjective support(20.52±0.38 points),objective support(9.51±0.21 points),availability(7.89±0.08 points). The social support of ICU transferred patients’ family members were different among treatment time, gender, age, education level and family average monthly income(P<0.05).(2)The coping styles of 289 ICU patients’ family members were divided into positive coping style and negative coping style. The total score ranged were(0-36)points and(0-24)points.The mean scores were(21.49±0.30)points and(11.86±0.23)points.The level of coping styles of the family members of ICU patients were at the medium level. The coping styles of ICU transferred patients’ family members were different among treatment time, gender, age, mode of admission, education level and family average monthly income(P<0.05).(3)The total score of relocation stress of 289 ICU patients’ family members was ranged from 19 to 80 points, with an mean score of(49.36±0.37)points.The relocation stress level of family members was at the medium level. The scoring ranges and mean values of the six dimensions were:separated anxiety(10.50±0.15 points),environmental change(8.45±0.10 points),severity of illness(7.61±0.10 points),change of nursing mode(7.33±0.07 points),safety of transfer process(7.92±0.09 points),self-efficacy of caregivers(7.74±0.12 points). The relocation stress of ICU transferred patients’ family members among treatment time, age of patients, gender of family members, age of family members, mode of admission,APACHE Ⅱ,education level and family average monthly income(P<0.05).(4)The social support of family members’ was positively correlated with positive coping(P<0.05),negatively correlated with negative coping(P<0.05);negatively correlated with relocation stress(P<0.05).Relocation stress of family members’ was negatively correlated with positive coping(P<0.05),positively correlated with negative coping(P<0.05).(5)Through multivariate linear regression on the factors of family relocation stress, showed that ICU treat time, subjective support, objective support, utilization, positive response and negative response could be entered into regression.According to the influence of beta value on variables, the order was:objective support, subjective support, negative coping, positive coping, treat time.Conclusions:(1)The social support, coping styles and the relocation stress of ICU transferred patients’family members is at the medium level, among the influencing factors of the three are the family’s gender, age, education level,ICU treatment time, method of admission and patient gender.(2)The social support of family members’ was positively correlated with positive coping, negatively correlated with negative coping;negatively correlated with relocation stress.Relocation stress of family members’ was negatively correlated with positive coping, positively correlated with negative coping.According to the correlation between the three, the corresponding nursing measures can be formulated.(3)Subjective support has the greatest impact on the factors affecting the relocation stress of ICU transferred patients’ family members. The medical staff can conduct health education for the family members, thus reducing the family’s relocation stress. |
