Study Of The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Yin Deficiency And Heat Excess By Fengsui Dan Based On The “Original Yin And Yang Structure Of The Human Body” Theory

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety about the treatment of diabetes mellitus which guided though the“original Yin and Yang structure of the human body”theory,explain by the treatment of T2DM with Yin Deficiency and Heat Excess by Fengsui Dan,then to provide a clinical basis for the promotion and application of the“original Yin and Yang structure of the human body”theory.Methods:68 patients with T2DM with Yin Deficiency and Heat Excess were selected,then randomly divided them into control group and experimental group and ensured 34 patients per group.The control group received basic treatment plus oral metformin hydrochloride tablets,and the experimental group added Fengsui Dan to the control group.The plasma glucose index(FPG,2hPG,HbA_1c),blood lipid index?TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C?,TCM syndrome scores and adverse reactions were observed before and after treatment.The course of treatment lasted for 8 weeks,following up for 3months.Finally,the statistical analysis and analysis of laboratory indicators and TCM symptom scores were performed.Results:Before treatment,the baseline of the two groups was well balanced,and the general data were not statistically different?P>0.05?.After treatment,the effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group.The total effective rate of the control group was 63.33%,and that of the experimental group was 83.33%.In terms of plasma glucose index:both control group and experimental group can reduce FPG,2hPG,HbA_1cc levels.The effective rate of reducing FPG,2hPG and HbA_1cc in the control group was 63.33%,70.00%and 66.67%,respectively.The effective rate of reducing FPG,2hPG and HbA_1cc in the experimental group was 86.67%,90.00%and83.33%,respectively.In terms of blood lipid index:both the control group and the experimental group could increase the level of HDL-C and decrease the level of LDL-C?P<0.05?,and the effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group?P<0.05?.The experimental group had a significant effect on reducing the levels of TG and TC?P<0.05?,while the control group had no significant effect on reducing the levels of TG and TC?P>0.05?.In terms of TCM syndrome scores:the experimental group was better than the control group in improving dryness of throat,upset feeling,hate of heat,thirst,yellow urine and constipation?P<0.05?;the two groups are quite effective in improving the susceptibility to eating more food?P>0.05?.In terms of overall improvement of TCM symptoms,the effective rate of the control group and the experimental group were 63.33%and93.33%,respectively,the efficacy of the experimental group was better than that of the control group?P<0.05?.In terms of adverse reactions:no serious adverse reactions and side effects occurred in both groups.It can be considered safe for the treatment of Fengsui Dan and metformin.Conclusion:Under the guidance of“original Yin and Yang structure of the human body”theory,Fengsui Dan in the treatment of T2DM with Yin Deficiency and Heat Excess is remarkable,and no obvious adverse reactions occurred.This theory is worthy of clinical study and promotion.
