Clinical Study Of Xiaoying Sanjie Ointment In The Treatment Of Benign Thyroid Nodules With Phlegm-Stasis Syndrome

Objective: To evaluate the clinical application value and safety of Xiaoying Sanjie Ointment in the treatment of BTN patients with phlegm-blood stasis syndrome.Methods: Forty-eight patients with BTN diagnosed in Changji Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2017 to November 2018 were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the random envelope made by our statistical teaching and research department.The treatment group was given Xiaoying Sanjie ointment and the control group was given placebo.The changes of thyroid nodule size,nodule number,TCM syndrome score,thyroid function,liver function and kidney function were compared before treatment and 3 months after treatment,and statistical analysis was made.Results:(1)Analysis of the maximum diameter of thyroid nodules: After treatment,the changes of the maximum diameter of thyroid nodules between the two groups were different,with statistical significance(P < 0.01),suggesting that Xiaoying Sanjie ointment has certain therapeutic effect on reducing nodules.(2)Evaluation of disease curative effect:The effective rate of the treatment group was 82.61%,higher than that of the control group(4.35%),indicating that Xiaoying Sanjie Ointment has certain curative effect.(3)Evaluating the curative effect of TCM syndromes: The effective rate of Xiaoying Sanjie ointment treatment group was 86.95%,higher than that of the control group(8.70%),indicating that Xiaoying Sanjie ointment has certain curative effect in improving the clinical symptoms of TCM.(4)The level of thyroid function,liver function and kidney function: After treatment,there were no obvious abnormalities in thyroid function,liver function and kidney function in both groups,indicating that Xiaoying Sanjie ointment would not cause the change of thyroid function and had certain safety.Conclusion: Xiaoying Sanjie Ointment can reduce the size of nodules in BTN patients,improve the symptoms of TCM,and do not cause changes in thyroid function,no side effects of liver and kidney,so it is worth further research and application in clinic.
