Objective:To evaluate the clinicopathological characteristics of CA19-9 positive gastric cancer and CEA positive gastric cancer, and combined effect of CA19-9 and CEA on clinicopathological characteristics of gastric cancer. Methods:Methods Clinical data of 390 patients with gastric cancer which were treated in The Second Affiliated Hospital,Zhejiang University, school of medicine from January 2013 to June 2016 were reviewed. The relationship between serum CA19-9 and CEA with clinicopathological characteristics were retrospectively analyzed. Results:Compared with CA19-9 negative gastric cancer patients, the CA19-9 positive patients have higher percentage of lymph node metastasis(77.8%/48.9%),more advanced clinical stage(?+? stage 68.0%/39.8%),larger proportion which the tumor>4cm(70.4%/37.9%),more Vascular infringement(60.5%/38.5%),and nerve invasion(64.1%/31.1%).Also there was higher percentage of lymph node metastasis(73.6%/49.5%),more advanced clinical stage(?+? stage 59.8%/41.6%),larger proportion which the tumor>4 cm(62.1%/39.6%),more Vascular infringement(56.3%/39.2%)and nerve invasion(51.7%/34.0%)in CEA positive gastric cancer patients than in the negative group. The result of combined analysis showed that there was significant difference among CA19-9(+)/CEA(+)?CA19-9(+)/CEA(-)?CA19-9(-)/CEA(+)?CA19-9(-)/CEA(-).Conclusions:Patients with preoperative serum CA19-9 and CEA level is closely associated with gastric cancer clinical pathology.
