| This dissertation describes chemical constituents and biological activities of Anemone hupehensis and Streptomyses sporoverrucosus.By use of various chromatographic methods,such as gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography,phase ODS column chromatography,MPLC and HPLC,49 compounds,of which 6 new ones,were isolated.Their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods(NMR,MS,UV,IR).These compounds include podocarpane diterpenoids,oleanane triterpenes,stigmastanes,coumarins,lignans,indole alkaloids and cyclopeptides.Anemone hupehensis is a flowering herbaceous perennial in the Ranunculaceae family.It is about one meter high and native in central China.In the folk,the rhizomes of Anemone hupehensis have been used as medicine for treatment of various diseases including hot-diarrhea,gastritis,malaria and other diseases.The whole plant is used as soil pesticide,and the water leaching solution can be used to control the the rice skipper,the cotton aphid,the cabbage caterpillars and the fly larvae.Thirty compounds,including six new compounds,were isolated.Compounds 1 and 7-10 were tested for anti-tumor activities against five human tumor cells lines(HL-60,SMMC-7221,A-549,MCF-7,SW480).Compounds 1 and 7 were found to show certain cytotoxic activity,while the remaining compounds no obvious inhibitory activity was observed.The secondary metabolites of Streptomyces are an important source of natural antibiotics.Various kinds of antibiotics with good efficacy and little side effects have been widely used in clinic.Streptomyses sporoverrucosus is a strain of Actinomycete isolated from lichen,which is cultured on rice,by acetone soaking,ethyl acetate extraction.Nineteen compounds were isolated,including amino acid derivatives,cyclopeptides,nucleosides and some small molecular compounds.In last chapter,the chemical structures and biological activities of 18 kinds of plants of Anemone of Ranunculaceae were reviewed. |
