Objective: The purpose of this paper is to come up with a complete treatment plan of how to rehabilitate occlusion of edentulous patients using the implant-supported fixed protheses and to practice and discuss its clinical effect. Methods: In this paper, the complete treatment plan was finished after a large number of literature and publication had been reviewed. One patient who came to the Affiliated Stomatology Hospital of Fujian Medical School with severe periodontitis(will become lower jaw edentulous after extraction)was treated as the participant and given the whole treatment plan of occlusal rehabilitation. After the step-by-step procedure of preparation, records of occlusal relationship, occlusal design, temporary denture, adjustment of denture and maintenance,at last use K7 Electromyography(EMG),clinical examination, patient feedback to determine the effect of final occlusal reconstruction result.Result: After wearing on the temporary implant-supported fixed denture for 1 week,we use K7 EMG to record the muscle surface EMG data when patient is at rest.Result shows the EMG of left masseter muscle(LMM),right masseter muscle(RMM),left temporal anterior muscle(LTA)and right anterior muscle(RTA)has no difference compared with before treatment. Also, the patient feel satisfied with the denture. Conclusion: The whole treatment plant is suitable for edentulous patient to rehabilitate occlusion using implant-supported protheses and has good clinical effect.
