Objective:Through“Repress the Liver and support the Spleen”acupuncture method combined with the ear point sticking treatment and use Western medicine hydrochloric acid sulfur to treat children with tic disorders for comparing the curative effect.Exploring the clinical advantages of TCM therapy for children with tic disorders on the basis of this study. Methods:Firstly choosing 64 cases of children with the consistently diagnostic criteria of tic disders in western medicine and TCM,which were randomly divided into two groups.namely, treatment group and control group. The treatment group is treated by “Repress the Liver and support the Spleen”acupuncture method combined with the ear point sticking, while the control group takes the Western medicine hydrochloric acid sulfur. One period of treatment lasts 4 weeks, the whole treatment takes three courses. And then the comprehensive scores of Yale twitch severity scale will be used to evaluate the treatment process before and after each course of treatment respectively. The forward curative effect observation will begin after the completion of all courses. The research date is analyzed by spass20.0.Whether the curative efficacy of the two groups is of statistical significance or not is decided on the basis of the grading result.Results:1.Baseline results: the two groups were respectively compared in seven aspects, that is gender, age, course, the types of tic disorders, comorbid condition, the scores of Yale twitch scale and before treatment. There was no statistically significant difference(P > 0.05).2.Results within the group:the Yale twitch severity scale and Hamilton anxiety scale showed : 42.26±14.30(before treatment),20.45±13.16(after treatment),and the paired T test showed P<0.05,which was statistically significant;Control group: 43.94±14.01(before treatment),17.87±15.23(after treatment),and the paired T test showed P<0.05,which was statistically significant.3.Results between the two groups:(1)the total efficacy after treatment:71%(treatment group)and 80.7%(control group):the Wilcoxon rank sum test indicated P>0.05,which was not statistically significant;(2)the reduced rate after treatment:53.89±25.20%(treatment group)and 63.56±23.61%(control group);4.The treatment efficacy results between groups in different treatment courses:(1)the Wilcoxon rank sum test indicated that P>0.05 at week4,which was not statistically significant.(2)the Wilcoxon rank sum test indicated P> 0.05 at week 8 and 12 which was not statistically significant.5.the curative effect during the follow-up phase:(1)the total efficiency:67.7%(treatment group)and35.5%(control group);the Wilcoxon rank sum test showed P<0.05,which was statistically significant in difference;(2)the reduced rate: 47.15±25.28(treatment group)and32.75 ± 26.43(control group);the Wilcoxon rank sum test showed P<0.05,which was statistically significant in difference.6.comorbid condition:the treatment group has fourteen cases, the total efficacy after treatment:71.4%,the control group has seventeen cases, the total efficacy after treatment:31.2%,which was statistically significant in difference.7.In the treatment course of using hydrochloric acid, eightcases showed side effects, which accounted for 25.8% of the whole treatment group.Conclusion:1.the treatment of“Repress the Liver and support the Spleen”acupuncture method combined with the ear point sticking was effective,so its clinical curative effect was certain.2.The curative effect of “Repress the Liver and support the Spleen”acupuncture method combined with the ear point sticking was better than Western medicine hydrochloric acid sulfur on the children with comorbid condition. This may be related to the overall therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese Medicine.3.The Western medicine group take effect quickly, but the acupuncture method combined with the ear point sticking has good curative effect during the follow-up phase.4.Hydrochloric acid sulfur had certain side effects in the treatment course, while the treatment of “Repress the Liver and support the Spleen”acupuncture method combined with the ear point sticking had none.
