Clinical Research On Phlegm Wet Central Obesity With The Treatment Of Navel Acupuncture Plus Moxibustion

Objective: This study is aimed at clinical observation on phlegm wet central obesity with the treatment of navel acupuncture plus moxibustion,to determine the reliability of navel acupuncture therapy and to explore its mechanism.We observe clinic efficacy in forward to provide a more effective therapy.Methods:Choose 96 patients qualified phlegm central obesity,then divided them into three groups randomly:treatment group、control group1 and control group2.Each of them has 32 cases.In the treatment group,navel acupuncture and moxibustion operated at the same time.The control group1 has moxibustion only.The control group2 has navel acupuncture only.All groups operated once every two days.Each course of the treatment lasts 10 days,4 courses in total.After 4 courses,using the statistical software SPSS21.0 to analysis the final data.Result:This study participants included patients with 96 cases,fall off three cases.As a results,the treatment group 30 cases,30 cases in the control group 1 and 29 cases in the control group 2.(1).Total effect:The treatment group’s total effective rate is 90%.While those of the control group 1 is 60%;the control group 2 is 55.1%.The treatment group demonstrated statistically better results than control group 1and control group 2(p<0.05);the comparison between control group 1 and control group 2,the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05).(2).Reduce Chinese traditional medical symptoms scores:The treatment group’s total effective rate is 83.3%.While those of the control group 1 is 60%;control group 2 is 51.7%.The treatment group demonstrated statistically better results than control group 1 and control group 2(p<0.05);the comparison between control group 1 and control group 2,the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05).(3)The three groups compared before and after treatment of weight,BMI,waistline,hip circumference,body fat rate and Chinese traditional medical symptoms scores,the differences were statistically significally(p<0.01).(4)Safety: three groups were not found serious adverse reactions.Conclusion:1.The treatment of navel acupuncture plus moxibustion is safe and effective.2.The treatment of navel acupuncture plus moxibustion groups is superior than navel acupuncture group and moxibustion group.3.The navel acupuncture group and moxibustion group has no significant difference.
